[Origami] NOVA - Origami Revolution
Watched this wonderful show last night - amazing! I was glad to see some familiar faces and there were a LOT of new names! Cool! I had to laugh, though, one young man in the protein lab (I have forgotten his name) was talking about how a flat piece of paper that has been creased can be folded back into what it was by following the creases - which is what they are trying to do with the proteins to cure disease. I looked at the paper he was holding and told my husband - that's a crane. About 10 seconds later he held up a crane. :-) It was a neat show! Congrats to all! Dee
Re: [Origami] Flexagon based puzzles
Just a quick toot to say that I am trying to add more diagrams for this type of puzzle to my Puzzles page at http://www.origamiheaven.com/puzzles.htm So far I have added diagrams for Robert E Neale's Sheep and Goats and my own Night and Day (both derived from the same flexagon) and for my Purgatory puzzle, in which the challenge is to pass a rather large object through the centre of a flexagon-like mat. If you have any ideas for other puzzles which should be featured here please let me know. Dave
