Re: [Origami] Origami for disaster relief
Hi,I don't know who was the folder, but this video was generated in 2012 after Hurricane Sandy. It's a great video and an important message but I am interested in how they can re-appropriate the video. Is the video for sale? Is the video made/used by the same organization as the one using it today for the CA fires? is it a public domain video? Hmm Diana
Re: [Origami] Origami for disaster relief
Hey Joel, I think this was asked about before, either on the O-list, Facebook, or some other forum; because while doing some sleuthing for old List mail, I found that a friend had sent me this link back in December of 2012: https://www.ispot.tv/ad/wGEx/ad-council-hard-at-work-hurricane-relief And my reply to her was that this had been a topic of discussion. And I linked to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jObTyVeIPXk There have been other uploads and variants. I didn't stumble upon any previous List mail; but sleuthing some more via Google, I think I managed to track down the guy who worked on the commercial: https://themennonite.org/daily-news/ben-friesen-05-unfolds-career-origami/ First I've heard of him. michael https://havepaperwilltravel.blogspot.com Santa Monica, CA >

The mathematical details of its geometry is on the above page, for any modular designer who'd like to have a go. Scott
