Re: [Origami] Identfy this origami swallow
I think it's a Leach's storm petrel. Both sides red was used for the bird in your linked picture. Re: [Origami] A8 not A6
A-size paper have a really cool property. If divide in half, taking the smaller side, we can two sheets of paper with one A size smaller. Why? [MATH AHEAD] Because of the ratio i.e 1 : √2 . If you divide this ratio(fraction) in half, then it becomes 1/2 : √2/2 . On simplifying, it becomes √2 : 1 which is same as 1 : √2, on rotating the sheet by 90°. I got to know about this in David Brill's book -Brilliant Origami. Sincerely, Bharat. Re: [Origami] Terminologi question
Book folding will result in a valley or a mountain. Depends on the view point. Diagonal folds will make a "cross-section" or an intersection. Think four roads meeting at a junction. [Origami] Need help with confirmation of my work as original
I have made a modular origami model but am not sure if it is original or not. I don't want to reveal the crease-pattern or the instructions yet because of the said doubt. The only thing I can say is that each unit is made up of a hexagon. Link to the image is here: https://imgur.com/a/lmA14WQ Awaiting replies. Sincerely, Bharat.
