"I tried to find out who is the creator of that model through Google, but
couldn't."

Hi all
"Muslim prayer" creator is Natividad Sánchez Ferrero. Published in
Papiroflexia Selecta of Vicente Palacios 1998 and English translation 2002
Origami from around the word of Vicente Palacios pg.51. it is also an
action figure (pushing his knees and holding his foot makes his "prayers"). It
is created by Natividad Sánchez Ferrero (his creation of him is prior to
1937). She had a degree in Chemistry from the University of Salamanca
during the 1933-34 academic year. That in the summer of 1933 he was at the
Santander Summer University, Spain, together with José de Unamuno, one of
the young sons of the writer and origami Don Miguel Unamuno and, finally,
that he was in charge of the course at the Instituto Cervantes in
Madrid,Spain, giving classes of Physics and Chemistry. She was a nun and
being in the north of Morocco she created that figure.

[Origami] Page Giladorigami

2020-11-06 Thread Inmaculada Lora
 Hi
Does anyone know what is the cause of the suspension of the page of
https://www.giladorigami.com/ <https://www.gtadoraigami.com/> which hosted
and managed Gilad Aharoni.
It was a very useful base and it has helped me a lot when I wanted to see
the figures of various creators or the figures on an animal, object, etc ...
I hope it is temporary and comes back to delight us with it.
Best regards,

Re: [Origami] Your thoughts about models using other materials?

2016-04-07 Thread Inmaculada Lora
Hi
Gerardo said: "Angel Ecija has many different action models that
include non-folding-materials that are in order to work: "Spinning
Top" uses a toothpick so you can make it spin, "Pinwheel" needs a
thumbtack and a stick in order to spin as well, "Crossbow" uses string
to shoot its quarrels, and "Kite" uses string also but so you can make
it glide."

Ángel Écija is a great creator and not only has action models but also
many more.
He has been in the world of origami since he was 8 and he has been
creating models more than 30 years.
He is not very fond of the social networks and usually he not takes
the bothering to answer when some site criticized his work as in the
case here or some web steals their model, etc…
Having said that, I would like to make two observations. First, you
need only to remember the history of Origami to see that everything
was more permissible. The principle of “not cutting, not stiking to
only fold” is relatively new, from second half of S. XX, and for it we
adapted the size and type of paper. Besides that, he's certainly not
the only one that uses a little stick to move the windlass blades. The
list would be too long and include many others like Tomoko Fuse,
Jeremy Shafer, Leyla Torres…
But even then, the second and more importantly, the figure always is
folded so I believe it is not important if one adds a ballpoint pen,
pencil or a wood to rotate it. I do not mind about the material it is
made figure folded paper, plastic, metal ...

Best regard

This flower carnation "Clavel" in Spain the call. And normally it taught with
8 paper rectangles 2x1 and 1 square of 2x2 to the stem. This makes it not
dangerous. It is a popular and traditional flower. Typically used at the
fair and bars You can see the diagram
http://pajarita.org/diagramas/diagramas.php
Leyla your flower here you have by traditional and folds as Zorrorigami says
but is different from the "Carnation".
