Re: [Origami] Tanteidan and Korean conventions

2019-02-28 Thread Kathleen via Origami
Hello,

does anyone know when the 25th Tanteidan Convention and Korea Origami
Convention will take place this year? I wasn't able to find any info but
would need the dates to apply for vacations.

Nice Greetings

Anna from Vienna, Austria

I have learned the following:
Tanteidan is aug 9 10 11
Korean is 15 16 17

locations, prices, accommodations, I do not know.

Re: [Origami] Scolli pig

2019-02-16 Thread Kathleen via Origami
Hi.

I wish to translate the name of Sok Song's model "Scolli Pig" to Spanish.
Looks like it doesn't refer to a subspecies of pigs. What does "Scolli"
refer to regarding his model? Was the model dedicated to someone named
Scolli? It's complicated to translate the name without knowing that.

Thank you in advance guys!

Hi Gerardo,
My understanding is that two of Sok’s friends, Scott and Olly, both loved the
pig. He combined their names to name it after them.
