In the database: http://www.giladorigami.com/origami-database/Sheep%20Eiko%20Ishii there is a sheep published in NOA 20. Hope that helps, Alex
[Origami] Origami question
I saw a photo of an origami sheep on the internet. I read that it was designed by Eito Mito. The article said that it came from the NOA origami magazine no# 493, but it wasn't there. Do you know how I can find the diagram for it? Thanks, Todd
Re: [Origami] Origami question
When I got your link I scrolled to the top and I got a link in orange that says "overseas customers click here to buy this item" in English. (Once I click I go to the page with the address is below - but add http:// in front) buyee.jp/item/yahoo/shopping/origamibatake_c1-009?lang=en=yshop Good luck. Winnie

If you open the page with Google Chrome, it should offer you to translate the text from Japanese into English (it worked for me). However, I started the ordering process, and it looks like the vendor doesn’t ship outside Japan. Good luck! Matthew

Google translate implies that the blog author may have come up with this specific version of the piece on their own, so there may be no diagrams. Five minutes of noodling with a piece of paper, however, and I managed to get a pretty good replica, myself - the points of the lapels are two neighboring corners of the paper (square) folded into the center; the opposite edge of the square is folded over a couple of times to make the brim, fold the brim down to the lapels, then fold the sides down to make the point of the hat (folding it into thirds works nicely, and you even have a spot to tuck one of the sides into); then fold the lapels. Hope that's useful! Anne
