Hi Ilan Garibi, I a keen paper folder from INDIA. I would very much like to participate in Origamisrael First International Convention. My expertise is up to Low Intermediate Level. I would attend only a few workshops. Time being one of the factors to consider. Secondly, financially also I can't afford to pay $50 (₹ 3600/-)I request you to let me know if you provide a discounted rate/ promo code or coupon.I will put in a word in my group "Friends in Folds" so that some more folders might join.Regards, HAPPY FOLDING!!!- Govind Kulkarni--Sent from my Android phone with mail.com Mail. With 72 workshops in three days, three guests of honor, three teaching rooms (via Zoom), a lounge room open through the whole three days, and a completely new concept for the program, this is surely an event you don't want to miss!

Our guests of honor are Maria Sinayskaya (South Africa), Sebastian Limet (France), And Riccardo Colletto (Italy). Each brings a unique perspective to the origami world!

The ProgramThe convention is divided into nine classrooms (three per day, for three days), and every classroom tells a story. All the models (but the last, after-midnight, hour) in this classroom will follow a unique theme. Some of the themes follow the creators. Such are the classes for Grand Masters, Tomoko Fuse, and Made in Italy. Some follow the origami genre: Time for Action and Color Change are self-explanatory, and so is Useful Origami. We also have classes devoted to the paper to be used; by its shape - Don't be a Square, or its type - Tant. The last theme, Impure, means the classic golden-rules of origami do not apply. The starting point is anything but a single sheet of square paper, and you will cut, or heaven forbid, even use glue! But this is not the complete story, no, no, no! This will be too simple for us.To make things more interesting, and to allow us to tell even more stories, every hour has a topic, too! It could be Stars, Flowers, Pandas, Cats (oh, so many cats!), Wings, Octagon from a Square, and Cats again! Of course, each model fits the theme of its class! The first model in the hour of the stars is made by an Italian, the second is not from a square, as it is part of the Don't be a Square class, and the third will be an action model, in the Time for Action class. Choose in the booklet which class you will attend, and add it directly to your calendar with a single click! The teachers are Israeli folders (and Italian, and one is even from Uruguay!), and we are all eager to have you with us.

[Origami] Origamisrael First International Convention - Registration is Open!

2021-01-20 Thread Ilan Garibi
Dear Origami friends,

With 72 workshops in three days, three guests of honor, three teaching
rooms (via Zoom), a lounge room open through the whole three days, and a
completely new concept for the program, this is surely an event you don't
want to miss!

Our guests of honor are Maria Sinayskaya (South Africa), Sebastian Limet
(France), And Riccardo Colletto (Italy). Each brings a unique perspective
to the origami world!

Our program is unique and huge! To fully understand it, we highly
recommend downloading the *121-page booklet* from the event page on
Mixiliy:

or download it directly from here:

The Program

The convention is divided into nine classrooms (three per day, for three
days), and every classroom tells a story. All the models (but the last,
after-midnight, hour) in this classroom will follow a unique theme.

Some of the themes follow the creators. Such are the classes for Grand
Masters, Tomoko Fuse, and Made in Italy.

Some follow the origami genre: Time for Action and Color Change are
self-explanatory, and so is Useful Origami.

We also have classes devoted to the paper to be used; by its shape - Don't
be a Square, or its type - Tant. The last theme, Impure, means the classic
golden-rules of origami do not apply. The starting point is anything but a
single sheet of square paper, and you will cut, or heaven forbid, even use
glue!

But this is not the complete story, no, no, no! This will be too simple for
us.

To make things more interesting, and to allow us to tell even more stories,
every hour has a topic, too! It could be Stars, Flowers, Pandas, Cats (oh,
so many cats!), Wings, Octagon from a Square, and Cats again!

Of course, each model fits the theme of its class! The first model in the
hour of the stars is *made by an Italian*, the second is not from a square,
as it is part of the *Don't be a Square* class, and the third will be an
action model, in the *Time for Action* class. Choose in the booklet which
class you will attend, and add it directly to your calendar with a single
click!

The teachers are Israeli folders (and Italian, and one is even from
Uruguay!), and we are all eager to have you with us.
The official language is *English*.

Let us help you forget 2020 with the best start for the convention season!
