Dear origami friends, The Covid situation forced us to rethink all we know about folding events. Yes, nothing can beat actually being there, eating the local food, talking to everyone, jumping from table to table, and interacting. Interaction, this may be the key issue, isn't it?
We spent a lot of time trying to crack this puzzle, and we think we found it! In our first Origamisrael International Convention, we are going to introduce the Origami Lounge! Throughout the three days of the convention, 24 hours a day, the Origami Lounge will be open as a separate room, besides the three devoted to workshops. The lounge will be full of tables, and once you are there, choose the table you want and join it! We will have tables dedicated to Tessellations, Modulars, Complex Design, and Easy Folding. We can also open more tables, all you need is to ask! Do you want to have a table for Spanish Speakers? Portuguese Folders? Action-Origami Lovers? Do you want to teach a certain model? We can open a table for every one of you (up to 45 tables, first come, first serve)! Furthermore, after 23:00 (GMT+2), the Lounge will get a makeover, and it will be a bar. If you want to join, you must hold a beer or a glass of wine. Our DJ will play some background music, to allow for a late-night folding frenzy!
