RE the question about World Origami Days (WOD): I only know of the event
being hosted by the Van Nuys Japanese Garden, in Van Nuys, CA, on 03nov.
The Garden normally puts on an origami event each spring and fall. Spring
is usually for Mother's Day and Fall is just called "Origami Day" or some
such. But this year, the event leader specifically chose 03nov as it falls
in the range of what are known as "World Origami Days" (what are the dates,
anyway? I need to look it up). It's 1015am to 315pm in the garden, at the
Donald C Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, immediately west of the 405
freeway (get off at Victory or Burbank).
