I don't see the evermind.ConnectionDataSource class in the javadocs. Am I
missing something?

Note that www.orionsupport.com's raison d'etre is to provide support for
orion, especially by documenting basic workings. Anyone who would like to
help is welcomed to; we need stuff covering virtually *everything*, from
J2EE auth to CMP EJB usage to adding web sites with SSL, etc. etc. I'm
writing things as I go but my time is *very* limited in terms of what I
can commit. Any aid would be appreciated, and would help feed back into
the orion community.

Re: newbie questions - where are good docs?

2000-07-28 Thread Lorin Kobashigawa

There is a very good Oreilly book on EJBs, and since Orion conforms very
closely to the EJB and servlet specs by Sun they are also a very good
source of information, and quite easy to read. I have found that a lot of
questions on the list are answered pretty clearly in the Specifications.
As for orion specific documentation, I have found the mailing archives and
examples to be by far the best source.

Here's the link for the book,
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/entjbeans2/

The specs can be downloaded as part of the Orion Documentation.

research, experiment, ask questions. working so far for me :)

good luck!

dont worry, we've all been through that :-). You are expected to be
proficient in all J2EE specs, and anything beyond that, well, there are some
documents... and there is this mailing list...

2000-07-27 Thread Alexandre J. Boudreau

Hi Kevin,

there is www.orionsupport.com, and I am currently working on my own info
site:

www.fibromovement.com/j2ee/orion

There is currently only a HOWTO on installing the Pet Store demo under
oriongood starting point for understanding j2ee basics and how orion
works.

I will personally add a complete Orion Application development Step-by-Step
Guide on this site...should come in the next week.

So hopefully Fibro Movement's Orion Info site will be helpful to you

regards

Alex
