[osdcmy-public] Debian aficionados, do you want to make some noise at MSC MALAYSIA OPEN SOURCE CONFERENCE 2010?

2010-05-20 Terurut Topik Umarzuki Mochlis
Hi all,

First of all, sorry, I'm cross-posting, but the deed has been done :-D

Mr. Hidzuan invited me as a member of Komuniti Debian Malaysia to
participate in a Community Track during that conference with a time-slot of
45 minutes.
What? Never heard of Komuniti Debian Malaysia? Check out http://debmal.my
It has been around since 2008 with only me as the only active member so I'm
going to do something about that this time.

So I want opinions on what can be done for 45 minutes which could benefits
local Debian aficionados and the conference attendees. Is there anyone want
to join me on this?

Maybe at least 3 people would be enough. 2 of us could do whatever
activities that pops into mind and the other 1 could pretend to be the
attendee, in-case no other is interested to join our activity.

...

Okay, I was kidding.

Throw me a frickin' bone here!

Re: [osdcmy-public] P1 WiMax router running Ubuntu! yes..the wireless router

2010-05-20 Terurut Topik Hasan Abu Bakar
Yep me too..that's why I am hacking the router. This router got a
pretty sick spec with much lower price. Averange low/mid-end wireless
router has 32MB RAM but this router has 48MB RAM and has 1 USB 2.0
port. I got a Linksys WRT350N with 32MB RAM and 1 USB with dd-wrt
installed for RM550. I put a USB hub to my linksys and hook up 1 usb
printer and an external disk for 24/7 torrent/NAS with streamyx.
average 5 watt hour. you know what i mean.

I am gonna hack this little cute beast.
