Sample database for noncommercial use can be obtain at the above link. On this
page look for MPV Content.

Database team has been very busy. I am hoping to have something by August.

Hi Ryan,

I'd be very interested in a sample TerraPage database (simple or not).

Can you provide URL? Any compressed format is good (e.g. RAR, ZIP, TAR, ...).

Thanks,
   Ben

Re: [osg-users] Publicly Available TerraPage Database

2010-02-12 Thread Ryan H. Kawicki
Well, I just wanted to post an update. I have a database engineer working part
time on creating a database for OSG to consume. I asked for the work to be
wrapped up by April. We then have to go through a few more steps to allow it
to be released publicly.

We currently have a publicly available database. It is small and not very
complex, and because of this, I am still having them produce a newer database.
If you like, I can also make this available to the OSG community. In its
uncompressed form, it is about 150 MB. If you would like this database, what
compression format would you like it in? Also, where would you like me to
upload it to?

Thanks,
Ryan

This is great to hear. It'll be really useful to have a public TXP
databases that we can all test against, hosting it up on
openscenegraph.org shouldn't be a problem. I am guessing the size
would probably make it a bit too big to roll into the
OpenSceneGraph-Data, but we can always host it alongside this.

If there is a chance then I would go for a public terrapage database that
can go in bundle with osg data, also to update the TerraPage loader. I think
since 2003 there has been changes that are not implemented yet

[osg-users] Publicly Available TerraPage Database

2010-01-06 Thread Ryan H. Kawicki
It seems that TerraPage experts are running thin these days for OSG. In the
spirit of trying to help out, I was wondering if the community has a publicly
available TerraPage database that is used for testing. If there is not one, I
can begin the process of producing one for public consumption. I just wanted
to know if this is something the community would use or even like to have. It
would not be anything too complicated, but I hope to have something that can
represent what we are currently consuming.

Thanks,
Ryan
