Two US servicemen killed in Iraq
(AFP)

8 November 2006

BAGHDAD - Two US servicemen have been killed in separate incidents in Iraq,
the US military announced on Wednesday.

A marine assigned to the unit operating in the restive western Iraqi city of
Ramadi died Wednesday of wounds sustained during enemy action.

In the northern oil hub of Kirkuk, meanwhile, a US soldier was killed and
three others wounded in a battle on Tuesday, reported the military.

The latest deaths bring the number of US servicemen killed in Iraq since the
March 2003 invasion to 2,836, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon
figures.
