Re: [OSList] European Open Space Technology training Sept 6-8 in the Netherlands

2022-05-18 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear all,

I can just echo the invitation by Thomas.
It would be truly wonderful to have you, your colleagues, kids, or friends
at this training.
What a wonderful opportunity to finally offer again this Working with Open
Space Technology training in person.
I believe the participants have a chance to experience the law of two feet
and other teaching goals even more profoundly in an in-person training.
Even though I know the benefits of online Open Space Meetings, too.

To my surprise, there are still so many leaders who fear large group
meetings, simply because they have not seen it work, or they are just
missing the method.
But at the same time these leaders, want to learn from their employees and
work very hard (maybe too hard) to meet all stakeholders in their company
to speak with them 1:1 or in small groups which doesn't allow them to tap
into the knowledge, wisdom, and expertise of a larger group. As many of you
know it is also much more effective to meet in Open Space, as it provides
the information needed in much less time.

In this training, we focus on "Working with Open Space Technology" - which
doesn't end at showing how to facilitate an open space, but offers tools
for prep and follow up work, as well as the many options to do action
planning and how OST can be applied to inform a strategy of a company or
network.

Let us know if you have any questions!
Anna Caroline from Berlin

[OSList] Online meetings - that work // Invitation to pass on for those who need it

2020-03-23 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear all,

if you know anybody who is in need to learn how to facilitate nurturing and
uplifting online meetings, please let them know that this Friday I am
hosting a 2 hour training on that matter.

In this workshop I share what the Genuine Contact community has learned
about online meetings in the past 14 years - I have been a part of these
for 10 years.

If you already are used to online meetings this might still be a great
reflection opportunity, but this is even more for those who are getting
started. This workshop is a straightforward reflection about technology,
method and genuine contact with self as a facilitator, with practical tools
and insights.

If you wonder how high energy, openness and results can be facilitated
online - this will be a valuable learning opportunity for you.

much Love
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] Quite a few questions about Sponsors, empathy and a safe open space for all it’s participants

2020-01-06 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Sagit!

I have facilitated and participated in OSTs.

As a participant I disliked when I have been confronted with assumptions of
the facilitator about my empathy style and that I should bring it in
(more). It closed my openness and raised my level of aggression.
On the other hand - the OSTs when a sponsor spoke from their heart,
speaking openly about the challenging situation we were facing and shared
vulnerable that s/he has no answers, but that we could only co-create and
find solutions together - then I softened and opened up.
What I have even more appreciated was when I was included in the prep
process - a place where I can already start to bring in my perspective and
feel heard.

As a facilitator an expression of empathy is the time and space I offer. I
believe that time supports healing and solution finding - giving more time
for (a high conflict) meeting. Time is also super relevant when creating
the agenda - not assuming that it is over when no one goes to the center
for a while... on the other hand also accepting when only very few topics
get posted... it's a dance! ;)

Apart from the overall preparation - another very important part is my
emotional, spiritual, physical and mental preparation as the facilitator -
checking my own fears, assumptions, hopes and intentions, supporting myself
to be well rested, nourished and as balanced as possible.

A very touching meeting I facilitated which also had high conflict in the
room has been documented in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u3rlpcjKoY
You see an amazing sponsor team, diverse participants and Mia
Konstantinidou and myself - the facilitation team.

Many greetings from Berlin
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] OST Planning Meeting Question

2019-09-20 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Jake,

I have learned to work with Open Space Technology from Michael Pannwitz since
age of 18.

We’ll do a prep meeting - including finding the theme - at the Open Space
Training next month!

It’s a simple process which has always worked for me with planning groups from
3-20 people.

It all starts with a time travel thinking about what people want to have
experienced after the OST is over.

At the Working with Open Space Technology Training we’ll do a lot of hands on
experiancial work as well as time to reflect the essence of what OST is.

I am looking forward to meeting you!

If you know of someone in this part of the world, who would benefit from the
training, please share the invitation!

https://osius.org/content/learn-others-wosonos

See you soon!
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] Learning opportunities in the UK

2019-08-27 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Sue,

what a wonderful passion you have!
I share your passion for OST.
And want to let you know about a last minute learning opportunity next week in
the Netherlands. https://www.dorisgottlieb.com/ost-2019

Together with my colleagues Doris and Thomas we are facilitating "Working with
Open Space Technology” - a 3 days training in the Netherlands.

This is the last Ost training for a while in Europe and in English that I am
aware of.
Otherwise I recommend a course with Birgitt Williams - it’s online including
self study and 1 on 1 mentoring.
https://www.dalarinternational.com/curriculum/open-space-technology/

Have a great day & let me know if I can support you in any way

Re: [OSList] Thank You

2019-06-07 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Jake,

thank you for taking the time :)

When I read your reply I miss the focus on building "capacity to learn”.
You say "I assume that all parties and organizational structures are constantly
growing and evolving."

I wonder do they do that
miraculously
consciously
as a result of CEO learning
as a result of whole system learning
….

And you say: "I am here to support development towards higher level of
awareness, etc.”
Is using Open Space Technology your tool of choice? Which other tools do you
use for that?

Have you heard of the Genuine Contact program? It is also designed, to achieve
organizational success through a shift in consciousness. The approach focusses
on building capacity to learn in organizations. I became a Genuine Contact
trainer in 2010 and apply the methods and tools with my clients I am just so
proud to see them getting aware of their leadership, structures etc… and evolve
their organizations consciously from inside out with the wisdom of the whole
organization. Check out the GC program - it might be valuable for you!

Have a great weekend! And thank you for allowing me to ask questions ;)

Re: [OSList] Thank You

2019-05-09 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Jake,

I want to ask last is:

What are your assumptions and beliefs about:

- your role and your capacity to support learning
- the AVPs role and his capacity to learn
- the teams role and capacity to learn
- the organizational’s structures and capacities to learn

Have great day!

Dear Jake,

thank you for your prompt response! I did not know the word 'fledgling'
before - but it's a good word to know! :)

I have been contemplating what to ask next and here are my questions -
which you might share, too:

If the new team is there to bring a new way of working to the company - I
am curious what their their burning question would have been?
And whom they would have liked to invite to the Open Space?

I am also wondering if the AVP is aware of the leadership approach s/he is
communicating implicitly, by deciding on this theme alone last minute? Is
this a definition of agile?!

In your role as organizational development consultant, how can you support
the leaders of your company to reflect and adjust their leadership approach
if wanted?

If you find the time to reply I am happy to read your response.

much Love
Anna Caroline

Dear Jake,

How great to hear that you had your first Open Space facilitation -
congratulations ! So precious.

So nice that it makes you eager for more and I assume the others too!

What is you role in the organization? Who invited and hosted the meeting? Did
you engage some people in prep work to clarify the theme for the Open Space?
What was the theme?

Lots of happiness and curiosity from Berlin!

Re: [OSList] Learning to work with OST

2018-07-04 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Thomas,

thank you for your dedication and creativity to explore open space. :) I am
sure you have sooo many new stories to share about the essence and nature of
open space!

I am really looking forward to experiencing your new level of thinking, being
present and sharing new perspectives at our training Working with Open Space
Technology in the Netherlands in
September this year.

It’s always so much fun to “work” with Doris, you and our participants.

Doris and myself are also planning to come to Iceland to the WOSonOS and hope
to meet many of our dear & crazy colleagues from around the world there! ;)

I recently facilitated an Open Space Technology meeting at a school with 300
young people who discussed how to get involved and support migrants coming to
Germany.
Here you can see a little
Video about the Open Space - in German (no subtitles).

much Love all around!

Re: [OSList] residential workshop coming up re organizational transformation based on OST

2017-10-04 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear friends,

I highly recommend this workshop!
In my humble opinion it’s the best (!) to take Open Space full circle ;) -> to
bring OST to all fibers of the organization on a daily basis, involving all
employees in the process and help them to make sure the essence of OST is lived
and benefited from each day. (Not only at exceptional OST meetings.)

This June we taught the workshop Genuine Contact Organisation in the
Netherlands, together with Thomas Hermann and Doris Gottlieb. All participants
were highly experienced in working with OST in their organizations and yet
taking 4 days to go beyond the methodology of OST, but discover how the power &
essence of OST can inform the blueprint of an organization was a mind-stretch
:) It became very obvious, that all organizations will transform themselves in
their unique way - there is NO ONE (agile) WAY to do this ;)

We will be teaching the Genuine Contact Train the Trainer in The Netherlands in
November - otherwise I would consider to join the workshop in Raleigh to
refresh and deepen my understanding of Conscious Open Space Organizations aka
Genuine Contact Organizations.

If you have the time to join Birgitt in Raleigh I highly recommend you to sign
up today!

much Love from Amsterdam

[OSList] Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution

2017-09-19 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Open Space Lovers!

Open Space is so great because it works in complex situation, even when there
is high conflict in the room.
My all-time favourite example is the Open Space Technology meeting with 100
Imams & 100 Rabbis Harrison facilitating, and Michael, Yaari, Dominik, Susanne,
Daniel, (???) and myself supported in Sevilla in 2006.

The theme of the Open Space was: "Imams and Rabbis for Peace” - I assumed there
would be a lot of conflict in the room (and I think there was) but this did not
stop the participants from dancing, being creative and joining actions. Open
Space Technology worked amazingly. :) That’s why I love it!

And sometimes there are situations where a conflict is not resolved after the
Open Space, but it becomes clear that (two) people need to talk in order to
resolve the conflict that would otherwise damage the whole movement of the
community / organization, etc.

For this instance Birgitt Williams has come up with a Conflict Resolution
Meeting methodology. It gets taught in the Advanced Workshop of the Genuine
Contact Program // Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution. Doris Gottlieb and
myself are offering this workshop in the Netherlands in October and April and
we would love if you join us! Or let people know who might like to learn about
it. Here are all the details: https://www.dorisgottlieb.com/workshops/

[OSList] Where does the name OST come from?

2017-09-07 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Harrison and all OS Elders,

can you please remind me how the name Open Space Technology came into being?
Doris and Thomas recall an interview where I man in India added the word
‘technology’ - has that story happened?
And where does the ‘open’ and the ‘space’ come from?

Thank you!

Love from a great OST training where we have people from 7 different countries
and 4 continents.
:)

much Love

Re: [OSList] Love + detachment from outcome

2017-09-05 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Harrison and Michael,

love rippled through me when I read your replies this morning :)
Ah, so nice - how dedicated, loving and present you are!
What a privilege to know and learn from you.

Unfortunately I cannot make it to the European Learning Exchange to Iceland, we
are giving a Genuine Contact Train the Trainer here in the Netherlands on those
dates.
But I have been talking to Thomas already and we are happy to share the news
with our Open Space participants of course, with all the other Open Space
Lovers we know.

I am longing to go to Iceland - Kari, do you know Ingibjörg from Reykjavik - I
should connect the two of you - she is passionate about spreading Open Space,
too.

And who knows … I heard rumors that there will be more invitations to Iceland
in the coming year, Kari? Fingers crossed!

much Love
Anna Caroline

[OSList] Love + detachment from outcome

2017-09-04 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear all!

I am just picking my favorite part from the 'Open Space in Charlottesville’
conversation - this part about LOVE, because I have been contemplating this
“love and detachment thing” in the last couple of weeks.

It’s late at night here in Amsterdam, where I am getting ready to give an open
Space Training with Thomas Herrmann and Doris Gottlieb and should much rather
get some sleep. But hey, I am on fire.. ;)

So let me share my thoughts:
I have noticed, that even though Michael M Pannwitz, Yaari, Harrison you have
been so great teachers for me, standing for non attachment – I find myself
standing somewhere else.

I am not detached. I am fiercely in love with Open Space and my clients, I am
engaged in helping them getting more aware of their limiting believes, the ways
how they sabotage themselves and others and how they think too small, too
negative, too positive, too lame.

Yes, my love for Open Space and my clients is passionate, intense and lasting.
And yes, I will radiate that through my presence.
That doesn’t mean that I will talk more or louder or more intense.

I don’t talk a lot at all - to be precise. But I will not leave my passion
outside the room. I will bring it all in and from that place of total surrender
to my passion for Open Space and my clients I will gently and happily show up
with all my love - for Open Space and the participants who came to learn and
remember and explore and discover more about Open Space and themselves and the
world and much much more…. including the power of love and passion :)

So yes, I am super excited and I hope to share more from the Open Space
Training - we’ll start on Wednesday.

much Love
Anna Caroline

Love plus detachment from outcome is a useful way for the facilitator to be.

However, there is nothing wrong with positive expectancy..for the best
possible outcomes, whatever they may be.

I was picking up that it was not so useful to be in expectancy that community
OST may not lead to actions.

Re: [OSList] [GC] Re: OST training September 6-8 in Europe (X-posted GC/GCD/OS-lists)

2017-07-18 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Birgitt, Michael M, Thomas, Helga, Nancy & all!

thank you so much for sharing the story of how the workshop came into being
here.
It’s gives great context.

Regarding the training I just want to share with all my pride how much I am
looking forward giving the training!

I participated in my first Open Space 17 years ago when I was 18 at my school -
Michael M you facilitated it in such a great way! That got me hooked. ;)
After school was over I facilitated my first Open Space - without any formal
training - at the age of 21.
In the following years I participated in, hosted and facilitated Open Space
meetings and trainings - in the Berlin/boscop style.
A great school, with great precision and care.

I also had the privilege to be in Harrison’s team, when you facilitated the
Open Space with 100 Imams & 100 rabbis for Peace in Sevilla in 2006. Massive
leaning opportunity.

And in the last 7 years I have been extremely involved in the genuine contact
way of working which added another layer of awareness and consciousness to my
work as a facilitator. As a member of the Leadership Team I have been a sponsor
to face-to-face and online Open Space meetings, supporting the organization and
community to get stuff done together and also to deal with grief, change and
challenges.

Basically my love for Open Space is huge.

Each time I have the opportunity to pass that knowledge on I am deeply humbled
and excited.

If you know anybody who should come to the training with us in the Netherlands,
please pass on the word! THANK YOU!

much Love
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] Ausserordentlicher/Extraordinary Stammtisch on October 10 in Berlin

2016-10-13 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Noel,

yes, it was a great exchange. I love your Synergise Stories from Singapore! May
those dinner & dialogues gathering among ‘enemies’ open space space space!
Great work! Keep going.

Also, I loved to learn that you found out about Open Space in your library!
What an reminder to make sure the OST and other facilitation books really are
in libraries - you cannot plan who they might inspire and initiate! Puh!
Wherever it happens is the right place!

Note to everybody! If you ever come visit Berlin, please let Michael M Pannwitz
know - he will call an Extraordinary Stammtisch and we, Berliners, will come!

It is always such a delight and inspiration to meet Open Space friends from
other places!

much Love from Berlin

Re: [OSList] Deep Visioning

2016-09-18 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Christine,

what a powerful assignment!
I would also help the clients understand and name the purpose of and their
goal with the process.
What do they want to take away? And do with the results?

It reminds me of the wok we have done in the Genuine Contact Co-Owners
Group and Community.
5 years ago we had a 2 years process where we formed a Leadership Vision
Team and they co-lead & co-facilitated a process to create a (strategic)
Map for our shared future - formulating different areas of focus.

The process was based on a workshop from Birgitt Williams about
Extraordinary Leadership.
At some point in the Engagement Phase we had Open Spaces all around the
world with Genuine Contact Professionals. This data was then used to merge
the Map and give data on the areas of focus.
We are now still in the Implementation Phase and whenever we look at the
Map it is still relevant.

What I continue wanting to improve is making the results of the process -
our Map - a living and breathing document that supports everybody's
orientation, leadership & ownership.

By writing this down, I just notice that apart from the assignment I would
also ask questions and support your client to already think about the
implementation phase and ask how they can make sure the results are
actively supporting, nurturing and empowering the next 10 years!

I wish I spoke better french and could support you :)

much Love
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] a substantial difference

2016-08-17 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear all,

I am happy to share a story to the participation-engagement conversation,
because it shows the dynamic & ongoing learning effects of working with/being
in /playing with … OST.

It’s an international Start-Up, where the average age of the 300 employees is
32.
Last year they decided to have an Open Space in addition to the annual party -
where everybody gathers from the different global offices.
It was a bit short notice, so all we did was deciding on the design, theme and
logistics. There was one short prep meeting with 12 employees and they
confirmed the theme that was found by the organizing team in advance. So the
engagement was little even though the participation was good.
We had a 1,5 days OST with massive participation in the agenda creation. We had
75 sessions.
In the final action planning phase nobody raised any actions. That’s why the
sponsor decided to cancel the follow up meeting.

This year when we met again to plan the OST. We started earlier and they asked
for a design that ensures more take-aways.
So I supported them to ensure more engagement before the OST. We had a prep
meeting where the participants found the theme collaboratively.
In their weekly demo session I had a 6 minutes slot where I was invited to
speak about the transformational power of OST. I used the story of the
butterfly and few inside jokes from last year, that made this little demo quite
fun (is laughter & heart-to-heart-connection a type of engagement? Don’t know.).

At this years Ost we 75 Sessions and 12 Actions raised in the action planning.
Now the leaders of the company are eager to bring people to the follow up
meeting.
They are already deciding on the dates for next years OST and considering to
have a 3 day OST.

Engagement creates learning on all ends - leaders, employees and the whole
company is learning to work with OST. What started as a party transformed into
a Summer Camp where everybody has time to participate and play, and getting to
know each other, while at this years OST the people where more engaged in the
future of the business. Next year they will start to fly with OST. Working with
OST is a dynamic evolutions of Ownership, Leadership, Maturity and Wisdom for
the whole company and each person involved.

much Love from Berlin

Re: [OSList] Online tools

2016-06-13 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Marissa,

the online tool provides a place where everybody can sit in a circle, co-create
the agenda, move themselves to small break-out rooms and co-create notes, mind
maps, etc there too and bring it back to the big room.

Everybody can speak, listen, write, move - just like in a face to face meeting.
What is challenging at times is that it is best when only the one speaking has
the mic open - otherwise there are too many background noises.
What we decide most of the time is to not use the video option - because it
takes more broadband and doesn’t add to the concentration - in my experience.

Like any new tool, the first time is usually time for learning to move in the
new environment with ease and less focus on content - some people learn faster
some slower.
But once you have an experienced online meeting facilitator and know the
platform it is intuitive and really helpful.

In the Genuine Contact Community we are all around the world and cannot travel
to each other – that’s why we were looking for a tool that supports our online
meetings. We are quite happy with it and I am happy to share more, give you an
experience etc.

lmk
much Love
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] OS after-action hub

2016-06-07 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Christopher,

my experience is that the community has to pick the tool they are able to work
with afterwards by themselves.
It could be closed or open Facebook groups, or other social online tools.
What is helpful are follow-up meetings. Online or face to face.
If you can encourage and also put in your contract that there will be one or
more follow up meetings you really support the energy flow.
A couple of colleagues and I have an online collaboration tool for live online
meetings with up to 100 people - let me know if you need it.

[OSList] What do you love about OS?

2016-06-06 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear colleagues around the globe!

I believe we all have different words and reasons why we love open space, and I
would love to hear from you.
In a sentence or two. What do you love about OS? What makes it special? Sexy?
Meaningful? Powerful? you name it.

I would like to post your quotes in social media, to market the upcoming OST
training I give with Doris and Thomas, September in Netherlands.
Thank you for your support!

much Love
Anna Caroline

Re: [OSList] The Tyranny of Structurelessness

2015-10-05 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Harrison,

it’s so funny I think I do really come from another generation - so sometimes I
am not getting the point.
I am such an Open Space native that I really don’t know what the whole
conversation and struggles have been before and outside the OST approach.
So I guess it’s weird for me to talk about OST as not having structure…

Dear Michael,
just to mention, the tomato story comes from Ward Williams. I really like it
too.

In my leadership position in the Genuine Contact Co-Owners Group I and my
colleagues struggle a lot with the questions: What structures are important for
our maximum freedom and maximum choice? We want to be a Conscious Open Space
Organisation (earlier this was the name, now we call it Genuine Contact
Organisation - the essence is the same: an Organisation, based on the Open
Space Principles)
Right now we believe we need more clarification about roles and
responsibilities in our organisation. Leaving it all up to self-orgaisazation
is not always working. Some people work lots, others don’t know where to
support. We are doing our best to understand this body, plant, ‘tomato’ we are
and finding out what structures, agreements, roles and responsibilities we need
in order to organically evolve. We are using the Medicine Wheel Tool to clarify
the purpose of our tomato/organisation, our leadership values, our vision, whom
we want to serve and who can support us, what action we need to take in order
to fulfil the next steps and what structural changes or evolution we might
need.

I think following Ken Wilber in the Genuine Contact Co-Owners Group we are all
more or less ‘green’ (after Ken Wieber I believe it means, we love equality and
think everybody is the same) we have difficulties seeing the need to
differentiate roles and responsibilities - and on the other hand we also are
confronted with expectations from ourselves and others we cannot fulfil right
now either. It’s a DANCE.

What are your thoughts and ‘real' life experiences with structure?

...back to the philosophical perspective and the intangible art of structure. :)
I guess DANCE itself has also a combination of structure and flow, right?
Even rituals, seasons and breath are a combination of structure and flow…
I assume I am moving out off the reality of 'either or’ and move into a reality
of 'both and’.

But hey, apart from all theory I believe it’s more important to remember:
structure is pointless or badly designed if people have no energy, passion or
desire to take action.
In this case it might be worthwhile checkin in if the given structure is toxic,
too much or simply unsexy.

much Love
Anna Caroline

Dear ones,

please keep us posted about your thoughts.

In the Future Search Network Learning Exchange the group spend the last day
reflecting possibilities for action.
Now the group is gathering to create an open letter for ministries in European

I am not involved in the content creation, but I am facilitating the next
meeting.
The next meeting will be 23rd September online.

Re: [OSList] Future Search - Open Space - Genuine Contact

2015-08-27 Thread Anna Caroline Türk via OSList
Dear Harold!

Thank you for asking, it went really well!
And it’s always a question of the perspective and theory why it went so well,
right?!

One thing is for sure: The people who came are all value-driven and care to
make our world a better place.
Sandra Janoff’s new book, Lead More Controll Less , speaks to a commitment we
all seem to share among our communities.

So let me make a few assumptions why it worked so well:
1. A dedicated preparation with a group, including sponsors and members of the
Future Search Network from Sweden, Ireland, South Africa, Germany
2. Working on the title with that group (it took two Skype meetings to figure
it out together.)
3. Use the Transfer In before the OST started
4. Open for reflections (not only logistics) in Morning and Evening Circle
5. Listening to the needs of the participants - I changed the agenda on day
three to their needs: cancelled the Action Planning, continued in small groups
6. Having a three days meeting
7. Clear intention of facilitator and sponsors to serve the participants

The list can go on and on.

My thoughts about integration:
Isn’t it is a wondrous thing that I have a community around the world, who over
the years become friends, lovers, mentors, colleagues and clients?
This time the word ‘tribe' was added a grounding feeling. Tribe. Don’t know
what that is. But the word came to mind and I feel it in my bones.

It feels as if I was raised in the OST tribe, have several vacations with the
Future Search tribe and raise my kids in the Genuine Contact tribe.
These tribes are connected, even though they are not one. But maybe one in
spirit and intention.

What makes me smile: All tribes seem to explore the same questions.
How can we capture and share stories for ourselves and with others?
How can we share this amazing resource of experience, trust and friendship with
others?
How can we make a difference on an even larger scale?
How can we invite new people in?
How to welcome the next generation?

So it’s great to connect and learn with each other within the tribes and among
other tribes.
To gather with like-minded people to play, sing, sit in silence and have
meaningful dialogues - this experience fills my life with a lot of gratitude.

So humbled to be on this journey.

much Love
Anna Caroline

This seems so very relevant at this time, and I'm eager to hear more of your

In fact it will be an outdoor event with tipis.
So it’s going to be quite an experience on several levels. I love this kind of

- I will send pictures of the event when it happened end of July.

 Dear Anna,

forgot to mention the book Meine open space Praxis, its in German, so this
might be of help to you. In fact, it contains loads of pictures, several
about circles. The one on page 101 shows the set up of concentric circles for
an event with about 350 people in Magdeburg the one on the next page the
Sevilla event with about 300 imams and rabbies.
The book is available here (also as an ebook where the pictures can be zoomed
 etc.)

 https://www.westkreuz-verlag.de/de/Meine-open-space-Praxis-E-Book
 https://www.westkreuz-verlag.de/de/Meine-open-space-Praxis

I have attached two pairs of pictures showing the circle set up without
people and the same filled with people... the presence of people does not
change the geometry but the atmosphere. And just that is often commented on:
Never saw this room used this way, its inspiring (or other such adjectives).

(The program did not accept this many pictures, so I am just sending one pair)

Often, rooms are not circular but long rectangulars. Therefore, you cant have
the outer circle circular but almost always the inner circle. The experiment
with 300 attending works well with a diameter of 10 meters for the inner
circle allowing 35 to 50 chairs in the inner circle. One might get the 2nd
circle also to be perfect, and even the third and in very large rooms all 7
or 13. But often the inner plus one and perhaps two fill the width of the
room. The additionally needed circles are then half circles added to the
perfect circles in the length of the room (the whole thing than looks like
an oval but with at least one perfect circle in the middle).

Now, your precise question to the radius of the circle has a number of
variables. I therefore made it a prerequisite to see the room before the
event and actually would arrange a small segment (like a pizza slice) using
the chairs available to get a specific picture (chairs do vary in width and
depth in such a way that with a crowd of 300 sitting in lets say 7 concentric
circles will get you various radiuses or diameters for the whole arrangement).

As far as the additional details of the entire set up is concerned I always
insisted that everything is handcrafted (like the facts of life, the law,
the critters, the admonition, the directional signs, the bulletin board, the
