Listening to the sound guidance in loud environments isn't easy. The best way to use osmand on a bike is to follow a gpx track displayed as a medium thick blue or purple line. If you are one line you are one the route, If not the you know which way to turn. Enjoy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Favorites to Map Markers problem in v2.8
I've been using the new useful feature of version 2.8 which allows Favorites to be turned into Map Markers to construct a route. However I found after using the feature for a while that I couldn't get some selected Favorites to appear in the Markers list, empty or otherwise. After some investigation I discovered that these items were in fact present in the Markers History list having been put there after deletion on another occasion. As soon as I cleared out the marker history everything worked fine again. It seems that if an item is present in the history list, the associated Favorite is prevented from being added to the Markers list. It can of course be re-activated from the history to get it back. This seems like odd behavior. I would have thought that history list meant exactly that, namely, it recorded everything that one had done in the past including repetitions. Has anyone else experienced this? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. suggestions
It would be nice if: 1. AV notes alongside, pictures, videos and spoken text would also allow written text. In bad weather, it is difficult to understand spoken text. 2. If in My Places, "Own Filters" can also be displayed. 3. If in My Places TRACKS could be downloaded from Dropbox. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. map markers

Re: Shows a huge number of POI although they're turned off
Thanks for the screen captures; they help clarify. I haven't seen these labels become a problem even in dense urban areas. Re: Loss in functionalities for the new Measure Distance tool
Suggestion: - put the Measure Distance widget back in the widget box for easy on-off switching + indication of the distance; - when activated (on), show the current Measure Distance screen with its options eg snap to road; - allow to return to the main screen, showing the points and dotted line of the measured distance, and allowing to add points by clicking on the map; - when deactivated (off), show the current Measure Distance screen with its options, eg for saving the points as route or track. - re-activating the Measure Distance continues with the current points and lines. My current use case: while hiking, I follow my progression by adding points with the Measure Distance tool - this allows doing orientation like I would do on a paper map (without turning the GPS on for saving battery) by marking my successive positions on the map On Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:10:43 PM UTC+2, gergyverjux wrote: > > Is it only me ? Route: adding waypoints to route and unwanted zoom out
When adding waypoints to a route, the map zooms out to show the whole route, this renders the successive addition of waypoints quite tedious, requiring zooming-in at the right position before adding the next waypoint -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
