[otrs] User interface does not list users

2008-02-27 Thread Jonathan Larsen
We just upgrade to the latest version of OTRS. Our database imported
just fine without error. One thing we've noticed though is when we
click on Admin->Users it doesn't list a single user not even
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Since the database import I am able to log in with the
user I used from our previous version of OTRS(it exists on a separate
machine).

Any ideas why this is? Oh and if I search for myself, I am found.
Also, if I click on users<->groups, it does list the users there.

Hello,

I just upgraded OTRS from versión 2.0.3 to 2.2.1, but I can't replay a ticket
because I get the Mensaje: You need permissions!.

I even created a new user, gave it all permissions, assigned all the queues but
still can't reply a Ticket.

I looked on the mail list And I found a similar topic, but didn't help my
case Any ideas of what could be happening?

Thanks...

What happens when you su to otrs user and list all cronjobs? Does the

I am having an issue with OTRS. I installed version 2.2 and since than my cron
job running PostMasterPOP3.pl won't run automatically although I can run it
manually using the command

# perl PostMasterPOP3.pl

I am receiving the following error in my log file

[Thu Jul 26 15:57:02 2007][Error][Kernel::System::DB::new][173] ERROR
OCIEnvNlsCreate. Check ORACLE_HOME env var, NLS settings, permissions, etc.

I had this successfully working before but now I am not having any luck.

Does anyone know a solution to my problem? As a side note I am using an Oracle
backend on a Sun Solaris 9 server. Everything seems to be functional within
OTRS except the cronjob.

Thanks for any help offered.

Okay, you need to edit the default reply located in the auto responses. That’s
the first auto email a customer receives when they email in.

Hello,

I'm currently using 2.1.6. Is anyone aware if it's possible to define
templates that can be used when creating a new email ticket? Our intent
is to have some standard boiler plate for making announcements of
maintenance windows our outages.

If there is not generic templating capability for new tickets, is it
possible to have a standard message per queue.

I'm willing to upgrade to a newer version if that would get me the
feature that I am looking for.

Thanks,

charles

[otrs] Custom Zoom view and

2007-07-17 Thread Jonathan Larsen
In the zoom view im wondering if I can remove where it
shows that the system sent a reply back to follow-ups or new tickets
back to the customer. Is there away to not show what the system does at
all in the zoom view? I tried searching the archives and in the system
config and couldn't find anything.

Also is there away to remove all the other languages of
notifications in Notification Management. For example, I only need it
to show the en::add::your::notification::here. I don't need the
others... if I can't remove them no biggie but if I can that would be

RE: [otrs] PostMaster POP3 Account problem

2007-05-30 Thread Jonathan Larsen
Are you running otrs on linux, if so you will need to login as the OTRS
user and run /your/otrs/dir/bin/Cron.sh restart

Then do, crontab -l

See if it lists the postmasterpop3.pl cron job.

You can also manually force the postmasterpop3.pl by running it from the
BIN dir located in otrs folder.

I have had OTRS running for 6 months now and no problems.

I received a call from the department using it and was notified that
there are no new emails arriving in the system for the past few days.

All messages go to a single POP3 account and imports the messages into
the OTRS system and from there the messages are routed into the queues
based on Subject or To / From filters.

I have verified that the password is correct in Active Directory,
Config.pm, and set through the interface.

I now have a backlog of over 200 messages - how can I force the system
to import them? This used to happen automatically (I never even setup a
CRON job) but now they are not being pulled over.

[otrs] OTRS for Slackware

2007-05-23 Thread Jonathan Larsen
Hello everyone! Ran into some troubles, hoping a fellow slacker that
knows better than me or someone with expertise in the areas im having
trouble could help me out.

I first tried to setup OTRS from the tarball source.
Webpage worked but emails weren't coming in and I could tell I was
missing something but I just didn't know what. So I found a little prog
that converts rpm's to tar packages for slack. I did that to a suse rpm
package and found some things im missing from my tarball install. One
was a startup script. It went into /etc/init.d/otrs. Slack has a
different directory for putting those... however I know that doesn't
matter to you all, I just needed to know what im missing to put all the
pieces together.

Im not sure how to get any of the cron jobs running. If
anyone could shed some light on that, that would be super.

I do have the webpage itself working. Settings I set save,
users I create are created.. etc.

The other thing, when I started the otrs script in the /etc/init.d
folder I got a few errors, like rcapache couldn't be found. Im not sure
what I would need to change in that script to make it work for me and
slack.

Thank you in advance for any help.
