Hi Alejandra,

a few days ago, someone reported problems with cron for windows, and he 
was told to run his jobs as scheduled tasks in windows.
probably this is an option for you too.

Hi Mary

Is OTRS running on a Windows Box? If so you need "cron for Windows"
(which is automatically installed if you use the Win32 installer for
OTRS) -> Chapter 3.1.2 of the OTRS 2.2 Admin Manual

I added a job to the generic agent, and scheduled it to run itself at 10
minutes every hour. When I click on run now it works, but it doesn't run
when scheduled.

 

I'm working on Windows so I don't know if that affects anything, this
because I don't have the cron command. I don't know I'm just guessing.

 

I really need help with this, so if you could help me I'd be very glad.

Hi Jamie,

You are right, it is a mailserver issue. The mailserver must allow 
relaying, at least to your OTRS-server.
It is usually switched to "don't allow relaying" to prevent spammers from 
abusing your mailserver.

I've solved my notification issue. Thanks to all who helped. 
 
One more issue we are having with outbound email. Outbound email is 
working perfectly to internat email id's (within the domain) but not to 
external ones. I'm thinking this must be a mail server issue and have 
nothing to do with the system. Any thoughts?

Hi Robert,

your mentioned that you just created the queue so it might be emtpy. OTRS 
doesn't show empty queues, you could try to create a ticket in that queue.

  I wish it were that simple. I did just go in and double check.  The 
permissions are all OK.  Is there a limitation that anyone knows of with a 
Queue being named the same as a group?  I can't imagine there would be.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

SSCOPE=sub means, that the searchscope is extended to subdirectories. 
Otherwise it would only search in the given directory.
But sub is not an ou ;-)

It doesn't populate the OTRS database, it searches live in the AD.

I looked at your previous post and noticed you have 'SSCOPE' set to 
'sub' in the CustomerUser section. What is that? Maybe you should 
reference it in the AuthModule section:

$Self->{'Customer::AuthModule::LDAP::BaseDN'} = 'ou=sub, dc=woodberry, 
dc=wbhltd, dc=com';
