A bug has been discovered that is present from branches 2.9 -> 2.6 that can 
break DPDK compilation for users.

There is ongoing work to address this, is it possible once we have the fix to 
create a new release for the branches above?

Apologies for requesting this so soon after you had already completed the new 
branch releases earlier this week but this is an important bug fix form the for
