Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.1.2 Release Candidate

Had the chance now to test. Upgrade via OBS on Kubuntu 12.10 went smoothly,
everything looks fine. The client runs now for 15min or so, but first tests
where all good. Thanks to Klaas and Danimo!

2012-11-26 Thread Vince D. Kimball
After upgrading, I have a conflict file for every file on the server.

I'm using client 1.1.2 (on ubuntu 12.04) with server 4.5.2 (on ubuntu 10.04.)

Haven't tried upgrading the client on my Windows or Mac computers yet; I'm
guessing that the conflict files will sync.

That's strange. Are you sure you use 1.1.2?
I was not able to reproduce that problem any more. Yet I know that there
are situations where conflicts are generated for good reasons, for
example if another program (maybe a client from another computer)
changed the files on one side or if the system times have changed
significantely or such.

Is there a chance for you to pass by a log file?

Thanks,

Thank you Klaas.
But please do not repack files after linking them. This breaks package
verification.
This was suggested before.

Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.1.2 Release Candidate

2012-11-26 Thread Jan Brenner
Hello everybody,

with my Cloud it was the same. But I'm sorry, I can't provide any logs. After
upgrading form version 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 every file were uploaded to the server
again which resulted in a mass of conflict files. The conflict files indeed
were never synced back to the client. That’s new ;-)

I've delete all conflict files on the server and now everything seems to be ok.

Best Jan

Client: Windows 7 64bit OC: 4.5.2

Yes, I was definitely using 1.1.2. Is there a way to generate a log file
after the fact? Probably not. I can try to recreate my environment later
today and run the client with the logging.

Hmm, I can't reproduce the problem with a fresh set of files using client
1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and server 4.5.2. Maybe the problem is related to
upgrading from 1.0.5 through 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. Not sure how to reproduce
the problem.
