Thanx. I've compiled a new version and that's working like a charm!

But I've stumbled into another problem. On Windows XP and Windows 8 I just
can't get the client to upload files.
On Os X uploading works fine.

Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.3.0 beta 1

2013-05-24 Thread Lukas Fiala

The same by me.
Example: I tried to copy several files into the OwnCloud folder.
Nothing happened on server, files are no uploaded and in details I can see
Errors concerning copying,

Another weird thing is that after a change of a folder name (in a Windows
client) when I look to the folder in www browser, there is no right
content, there is root (clientsync) of instead.

E.g. I have renamed a folder which was originally test to test go and
that contains several files in Windows client. When I look to www owncloud
I see the renamed folder, but when I try to explore it, there is not the
right content (0 files), it jumps to clientsync folder.

Are there any restrictions concerning the folders' names?

Lukas

I'm doing more testing hoping to figure out why my client has so much
trouble syncing. If I copy a file to the client sync folder, the file

then further down

05-24 13:14:32:651 _csync_merge_algorithm_visitor: INSTRUCTION_NEW file:

These lines get repeated every time the client tries to sync.

I get no errors in owncloud or php logs. and I don't see the file get saved
to the server file system. Am I doing something wrong?

thanks for helping the newb

Thanx. I've compiled a new version and that's working like a charm!

But I've stumbled into another problem. On Windows XP and Windows 8 I just
can't get the client to upload files.
On Os X uploading works fine.

Yes, just as stated below: We are currently having trouble to build
Ubuntu/Debian packages. This will be hopefully resolved by tomorrow.
Unfortunately, we still have not found the issue, we will be contacting the OBS
folks as it's likely an upstream problem.

Hi Daniel,

In the Connection Wizard, after checking 'advanced settings' I tried to fill
in the folder c:\ownCloud to synchronise with.
Instead it synchronizes with the folder 'c:\documents and
settings\owner\ownCloud'.
It seems I can't change that.

This is very imported since in case of an office network one wants to be
able to choose the map to synchronize with.

Cheers,
Koen

I installed a new OC5.0.6 with a separate Mysql database and get an error
Csync failed to find specific file. I looked at the client logs and for
some reason it makes reference to sqlite? In the new installation I
pointed the OC data file in config to my original data file location. Is
there some old information that is getting pulled in?

Just to be sure I deleted all the owncloud folders on the client machine
(win7) and reinstalled the client, but there is no difference. Also, very
interesting the client is trying to sync files that were in a location long
ago? You can see it is also looking for 461 files but there is only 1 file
that should be synced(this file was uploaded through web interface). where
can I purge all old configurations from client installs?
