I just fired up PRTG on a box here and I have to say it looks quite tidy.
The default sensors configured into the product show that they have been
around the traps and know what to look for (number of xlates in a Cisco ASA
as a default rule, for example).

Another one to check out is PRTG network monitor. It has worked well for
us and also has a free (although limited) option.
