[ozmidwifery] 13 pound baby born in Tasmania.

2006-12-01 Thread Lara
Just wondering if you've seen this? A 13 pound baby was born in Tasmania
today.

Vaginal delivery, with epidural.

Maybe this should be printed out and sent to all the HCPs who recommend
C section for presumed "macrosomia" ...

[ozmidwifery] Bubhub and "Dr Brown's" bottle promotions

2006-11-08 Thread Lara
I've just noticed that the Bubhub forums are "featuring" very prominent
advertisements for a bottlefeeding product - even in the breastfeeding
and advice from Pinky McKay section of the boards.

This is a site that boasts about being supported by the Australian
Lactation Consultants Association (ALCA).

Example:
http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=41867

I find this disgusting and would invite everyone here to contact them to
express your displeasure.

Hi Kelly,

Do you mind me enquiring as to whether Bellybelly has changed its stance
on non-Code-compliant advertising?

Transient changes like this sound like harlequin colo(u)r change. Is
there a sharp demarcation in the midline?
