Some time ago I asked about turning a  breach and got a lot of
helpful information for my friend.  Her baby turned just prior to the
birth and she delivered vaginally although the cord was around babies
  neck.
It may be an idea to check the archives as there seem to be so many
different things to try, I can't recall them all.

Unfortunately for my friend there was a problem with the babies
weight gain/loss and the baby has been diagnosed as totally Blind.
He had a failure to thrive and as his eyes rolled they thought he was
having seizures at first.  The blindness seems to have been a
congenital problem not caused by the birth at all.

  Rhonda

Based Advice Question on Breech Baby
Hi All,Yet another question from me for a friend
who is imminently expecting. Sheis 37 wks (maybe a touch under) with a
breech baby and unsuccessful ECV.Apparently baby is breech with legs
extended (feet beside ears), and 3attempts to turn were unsuccessful

wondered if there is anyone out therewho can help in providing
contacts of anyone who is likely to be able tohelp turn this baby -

Melbourne Based Advice Question on Breech Baby

2002-04-03 Thread Jo Slamen

Hi All,

Yet another question from me for a friend who is imminently expecting. She
is 37 wks (maybe a touch under) with a breech baby and unsuccessful ECV.
Apparently baby is breech with legs extended (feet beside ears), and 3
attempts to turn were unsuccessful (this was attempted yesterday). This
baby is her second - and baby #1 was delivered vaginally with no
complications - 8lb+

She is being told caesar is the way to go, though she is desperately
disappointed.

I mentioned acupuncture to try, and I wondered if there is anyone out there
who can help in providing contacts of anyone who is likely to be able to
help turn this baby - she is willing to try (almost!) anything.

Thanks in advance,

Jo
