Feature Deployment Path

2012-02-15 Thread Paul Noone
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me why VS2010 adds the following for the deployment path?
$SharePoint.Project.FileNameWithoutExtension$_
$SharePoint.Project.FileNameWithoutExtension$
This always results in broken feature image URLs and links to other dependent
resources until I remember to change it.
Kind regards,

Paul Noone

Because it likes annoying us.
You shouldn't be deploying images to the features folder - you should be
deploying to a sub folder (project name) of the Images folder instead.

RE: Feature Deployment Path

2012-02-15 Thread Paul Noone
I'm not. I add an IMAGES mapped folder. VS automatically adds a subfolder with
my Feature name.
And my relative Image URL is
$SharePoint.Feature.DeploymentPath$\myfeaturepic.png
So when the token for DeploymentPath is incorrect it also breaks the feature
Image URL.

I am filling a book with all these workarounds. Do you think anyoen would buy
it? ;)
