Re: Stsadm Import and Content Deployment woes [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

2009-03-22 Thread Ajay
This site has travelled back and forth from dev server to client and then
back and 4 round trips.

I think it has used both backup/restore and export/import both.. don't know
what has caused it.

Now I am manually changing all the urls and will then export it to a new
blank site and let's see what happens.

I am getting tired seeing so much time in MOSS goes for these things and so
little time to work on logic

RE: Stsadm Import and Content Deployment woes [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

2009-03-22 Thread Paul Noone
Ah, that'll be a feature then. :)

Is the CQWP is responsible for the bad paths? Usually I'd expect everything to
break, not just a few images.

Do all the images still exist in the destination library? I'm wondering what
state they were in at the time - minor version, checked out etc.

I've had something similar but instead of images, it was actually pages. Even
if you republished them, it still didn't work. So I deleted the destination
site and redeployed it. That has fixed the problem. It hasn't appeared again.

Hi Guys,

I had a site at address http://mysite and I exported this site and installed
this at client side at address http://mysite.staging.com.
Then I brought the site back from client after content was entered to my dev
environment. Now this is the master copy of the site.

When I went to deployment at client again, I exported the site and then when I
import on site called http://mysite,, everything is okay. (Same name as the
original site).

But when I import this at client on site called http://mysite.uat.com then few
images don't show up and the image path for them is http://mysite.staging.com

On my dev server I have even tried doing OOTB Content Deployment from
http://mysite to http://mysite.uat.com and same result

Has anyone seen something like this or any ideas

Thanks
Ajay
