Thanks a lot, Rex.
Do you have time to review another package for me, which is also a requirement
for building latest qtiplot? I now take the maintainship of qtiplot which
orphaned by FESco due to FTBFS bug.

Thanks a lot all of you for your interest.

@ Dave M

I removed anything I had installed for ClamAV-ClamTK with the Fedora 12
package manager and I installed the application directly from the site you
indicated. It is working well but I have 2 questions.
1. The application gui presents a red stop sign to the left of the "Virus
definitions" text. To the right side of the same text it writes "28 Oct 2009".
I wonder if this red sign probably means that the Virus definitions are old. Is
there any problem here or it is ok ?
2. Does this kind of installation permit any further updates with the Fedora 12
auto-update procedure ?

Thank you very much for your response . You really solved my little problem.

It works here. lv2rack displays the GUI of lv2-fil with no freeze. Can you be
more specific on your steps to produce the freeze?

swh plugins were being ported from ladspa to lv2 a while ago. Many of them were
incomplete. I fixed some of them myself and upstreamed the fixes. For the rest,
I filed an extensive bug in their bug tracker. You can find my list at
   http://github.com/swh/lv2/issues#issue/2
Some of these are fixed by other folks. I update the RPM package every now and
then with the fixes from their git. If you want to give a hand, contact
upstream. They are quite responsive.

Summary: Review Request: ssldump - An SSLv3/TLS network protocol analyzer

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557995

Summary: Review Request: ssldump - An SSLv3/TLS network
protocol analyzer
   Product: Fedora
   Version: rawhide
  Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: medium
  Priority: low
 Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nob...@fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: redhat-bugzi...@linuxnetz.de
 QAContact: extras...@fedoraproject.org
CC: nott...@redhat.com, fedora-package-rev...@redhat.com
   Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora

Spec URL: http://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/ssldump.spec
SRPM URL: http://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/ssldump-0.9-0.1.b3.src.rpm
Description:
This program is an SSLv3/TLS network protocol analyzer. It identifies TCP
connections on the chosen network interface and attempts to interpret them
as SSLv3/TLS traffic. When ssldump identifies SSLv3/TLS traffic, ssldump
decodes the records and displays them in a textual form to stdout. And if
provided with the appropriate keying material, ssldump will also decrypt
the connections and display the application data traffic. This program is
based on tcpdump, a network monitoring and data acquisition tool.

17:49:44 EST ---
Here is the full review for this:

? rpmlint says:
   dselect.x86_64: W: only-non-binary-in-usr-lib
Do those files have to be in libdir? Please change or defend.

* The patch makes references to /usr/lib which is not the right path for
x86_64. Why does sed break stuff again?

* dev package must be renamed to devel

* Please don't duplicate the same doc files in the devel and dselect packages

* Please go through the source and make sure you tag all licenses correctly. As
far as I can tell most of the source code is GPLv2+. However there are some
exceptions, such as
   lib/dpkg/md5.c is public domain
   lib/dpkg/showpkg.c is GPLv2
   etc
These have to be listed as comments in the SPEC file.

* Source0 seems to be wrong. Gives 404 to me.

* Please update to the latest upstream

? Shouldn't the dselect package require the main package?

? Why are we removing the alternatives stuff?

* A few directories are owned by both the main package and the devel package.
Since the devel package requires the main package, please get rid of the
multiple ownership. Also one directory is also owned by the dselect package. If
dselect package does not need to require the main package, this is OK.

* /usr/sbin/install-info seems dangerous. Please move somewhere else.

- At a few places in the build I see the -O1 flag overriding our default flag.
This -O1 is passed during the linking phase only. I don't think this is a
problem. It is weird though.

* I can't install the devel package:
  $ sudo rpm -ivh dpkg-dev-1.15.4.1-1.fc12.x86_64.rpm
  error: Failed dependencies:
perl(extra) is needed by dpkg-dev-1.15.4.1-1.fc12.x86_64
  $ sudo yum install "perl(extra)"
  ...
  No package perl(extra) available.

Oops, Dave, there's one extra thing I need you to do. Can you go to
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/clamtk, log in with your
Fedora account information, and click 'Add Myself to Package" for at least the
"Fedora devel" collection? (F12 and F11 if you want to work on the existing
releases as well.) I'll approve your request if Jerome doesn't do so before
me.

--- Comment #32 from Jason Tibbitts 2010-01-22 16:42:21 EST

Oh, nice, bugzilla seems to have lost my comment, but it added the CC.
Strange.

In any case, for some reason I had thought that clamtk was orphaned in Fedora,
but it does currently have a maintainer. I found him on IRC (and have CC'd him
on this ticket). He's willing to have you as a comaintainer, but I get the
impression he has very little time so I'm not sure how much he will be able to
help you. If issues come up, please either ping me on IRC (tibbs in
#fedora-devel on freenode) or email me.

Dave, you should be set up now. It will take a bit before your privileges
propagate, but you should soon be able to check the package out of CVS and
start working on it.

There are many procedures and such that you will need to follow. This is
described in
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers that
document is geared towards completely new packages. Since this package is
already in the distribution you can skip forward to the "install the client
tools" bit, then do "Check out the module" but skip "Import the package" and
instead edit what's there. Then follow
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_update_HOWTO to actually make an update.
Again, I know this can be a bit complicated, so please let me know if you have
any problems and Jerome doesn't have sufficient time to help you out.

I'm going to close this ticket out now just to keep the books straight.

Fanis, that is what we are trying to fix with this review request. The package
in the repositories is broken.

In the meanwhile, please go to http://clamtk.sf.net - there are downloads
available for several distributions including Fedora. You can just double-click
it to install. That version works. :-)

All the issues have been addressed, and the latest SRPM file is up-to-date. So
there's nothing pending acceptance, is there?

With Zeitgeist now in Fedora

I also have to say that I installed these applications using the official
package manager. I read the best about ClamTk and Gnome Schedule in the only
official magazine about Linux in my country. It's a pity, but I can't trust
my package manager any more , because I also noticed such abnormal behaviour
with wine emulator and with gnome schedule and who knows what else. Thanks
a lot.

Whoops. Fixed.

I couldn't get that icon to display. If you can, I'll use it, but the PNG does
for me.

desktop-file-validate warns that it's deprecated. I've removed it. If I ever
build for EPEL I can re-add it.

Ownership fixed. Leaving the zero-length files for now.

Well,

===

 %{buildroot}%{_bindir}/themonospot-qt

%files
...
...
%{_libdir}/themonospot/%{name}.exe
%{_libdir}/themonospot/libqyotoshared.so <- add

===

* Occasional build failure
  - By the way build sometimes fails randomly:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1939220
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1939195
And bug 555490

It seems that parallel make is failing. Would you
disable parallel make (i.e. remove %{?_smp_mflags})
with adding some comments like "parallel make sometimes fails" ?
(also please remove parallel make also other themonospot- packages
on devel and rebuild them. You can fix F-11/12 packages
 when new versions are released).

This builds just fine with python3, because you don't need to have
python-setuptools (the egg is builded by distutils).

How about building python3 only?

If you want to package this for F-12 and/or EPEL you need to be more explicit,

First, koji won't build that:

Second, why do you create a devel packake if there are no files to go in there?
And there is a typo (Vata -> Vala) in the devel description.

That does not a denote a missing BR, if anything it point to a missing runtime
'Requires'.
However the minidom module you're referring to in that file is shipped in the
python package, so no need for extra 'Requires'.

Ok, libs subpackage created. I had initially removed the static libs, but I
forgot to carry over that flag when i moved to using %configure. Now it's not
working, so I'm ripping them out manually.

-b3 works for me.

I created a .desktop file.

Description: Program to re-programm a YubiKey with a new AES key

ykpers is a simple tool to write a new, custom AES key to the Yubikey. It
depends on libyubikey (#557776).

This package and libyubikey are my first packages for Fedora, so I will need a
sponsor. I'm happy to answer any questions.
