I thought i had set it before, but it got eaten? I've set it again.

Paul, if you are setting the CVS flag, then you have to also provide more
specifications about repository and branches you request. Jon already provided
a link above where you can read more. Specifically, you should read the section
[1]. You can take also look on other reviews [2] how does it look in reality.

--- Comment #9 from Martin Preisler mprei...@redhat.com 2011-10-12 04:56:58

Thanks a lot for the review and feedback!

Changes:
- the backends now explicity require opendbx of the same version
- filter out provides of backend subpackages
- use GPLv2+ as license for now because of the 2 GPLv2+ files (I've sent a mail
to upstream about this)
- the backend subpackages each own the /usr/lib/opendbx directory

I have also sent a mail about the FSF addresses to upstream mailing list.

Updated Spec URL: http://mpreisle.fedorapeople.org/pkgs/opendbx/opendbx.spec
Updated SRPM URL:

(In reply to comment #1)
Release: 0.1 is unusual, but you are upstream, so probably aware of it.

0.1 means rc1, 1.4.0-1 will be stable release (logic stolen from util-linux:-),
this ensures that first stable release will override release candidates.

 Rpmlint:
rpmlint lies, I can download your source tarball. The fsf address should be
changed according to guidelines. You should create ticket for upstream (you)
and fix it in some future release of upstream package.

NACK. this is nonsense, sorry.

* The test suite execution could be simplified
  - It should be enough to run the test suite using command 'bin/shindo' that
is it. The way you proposed looks overly complicated.

Since this is the only nit and has no influence on anything, the package is
APPROVED.

(In reply to comment #15)

 - Can you relax the build requirement? If there was a 5.1.5 it wouldn't build
anymore, but that version would only have minor changes. If you feel that it
 is
likely to need some work keep it as is.

I don't know how to do this. All I want to specify is the use of some 5.1
version of Lua. I tried BuildRequires: texinfo, lua-devel == 5.1, but this
happens:

$ rpmbuild -ba datalog.spec
error: Failed build dependencies:
 lua-devel = 5.1 is needed by datalog-1.7-2.fc15.i686

I tried lua-devel = 5.1 5.2, but you can't say that. You only get to use
one comparison operator. So how to I say use any version of lua 5.1?

 - You need to create a -devel sub-package to package header and .so (no
 suffix)
files (.so.0.0.0 stays in the main package).

I assume the .so.0 stays in the main package too. I have attached the latest
version of the spec.

Could it be one must write:

?

Can you list a package twice with different conditionals?

You'll also want to rename the top-level directory inside the source tarball to
match the spec file name.

Also, I don't think we want to package the ubuntuone-client-* artwork or the
dropboxstatus-* artwork, as we ship neither of these proprietary items.

With those items removed, I think I can lift the legal block here.

--- Comment #18 from Kevin Kofler ke...@tigcc.ticalc.org 2011-10-12 10:58:17

-the package contains a so file, you must call ldconfig

Wrong. The package does not install any .so file to %{_libdir}, so ldconfig is
NOT needed and should NOT be called. ldconfig does not operate on
%{_kde4_libdir}/kde4 = %{_libdir}/kde4, which is only for dlopened plugins.

Please remove the ldconfig calls again.

-Why you don't use the kcm_wicd.desktop in the source file? By the way, there
is a new wicd-kde release, consider upgrading your package

 because:
error: key Exec is present in group Desktop Entry, but the type is
Service while this key is only valid for type Application

There is no need to run desktop-file-validate on .desktop files in
%{_kde4_datadir}/kde4/services. Those files will only ever be read by kdelibs,
so if kdelibs understands them, they're fine.

AIUI, it's normal for KCMs to have an Exec= line which runs kcmshell4 on them,
I don't think removing it is a good idea.

[Bug 744948] Review Request: ubuntu-mono-icon-theme - Ubuntu Mono icon theme

Since a mono-icon-theme package already exists in the Fedora repos, the package
will be finally renamed to monochrome-icon-theme. There is no reference to
any Ubuntu item anymore in this update.

Spec URL:

(In reply to comment #1)
I believe you should use %global instead of %define.

OK will fix.

 Also, why :
 %exclude %{python_sitearch}/simpleparse/tests
 %exclude %{python_sitearch}/simpleparse/examples
 ?

examples seemed better included in %doc. I also thought tests were not relevant
to the installed package, but we can put them in %doc or leave them in
python_sitearch if that's preferable, please advise.

--- Comment #7 from Mark McKinstry mmcki...@nexcess.net 2011-10-12 21:05:26
EDT ---
I heard back from the author and the license on tlog has been updated to GPLv2
only (no longer GPLv2+) so the entire program is GPLv2 now. The address for the
FSF has also been updated to the most recent address.

I introduced a bug with one of my patches which lead to the problems scanning
files you were having. To better test it, google for 'r57 shell' or 'c99 shell'
and try scanning them. If you have a website, you could try scanning the files
for it as well since scanning web files malware/shells/spamming
scripts/suspicious files is what it was designed for.
