--- Comment #4 from Brendan Jones brendan.jones...@gmail.com 2011-11-24
03:08:16 EST ---
Hi Jerry, thanks for the review!

I've removed the README form the encoding fix and dropped the buildroot tag.

RPM_OPT_FLAGS and %{optflags} are interchangeable [1]

From what I know the waf is not so concerned with backwards compatibility as
other build tools (such as cmake) and recommends shipping the waf script. There
are no clear guidelines on this - the version of waf used here is actually
earlier than the one in f16, so I will leave as is.

I have contacted the author with regards to the incorrect license file, stay
tuned.

thanks

Brendan

The new spec looks good to me. However, when I built it under mock f-16-x86_64
the resulted RPMSs could not be installed due to some noarch/arch problem.
Could you build that SRPM under Mock and let me know how it went?

--- Comment #17 from Mads Kiilerich m...@kiilerich.com 2011-11-24 09:39:37

Resetting PRAM and NVRAM makes no difference - except that I now have
[root@fladmast ~]# efibootmgr -v
BootCurrent:
Timeout: 5 seconds
BootOrder: 0080
Boot0080* Mac OS X
ACPI(a0341d0,0)PCI(1f,2)03120a00HD(6,17716800,5000,aa0b2ede-b4b7-4105-aafa-09b6daeb8fa6)
Boot*
ACPI(a0341d0,0)PCI(1f,2)03120a00HD(1,28,64000,34b7e09a-8a76-42fd-8cad-6a2aaa332fff)File(\System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi)

But still, OS/X blessing through a symlink makes 'bless --info' report the
target file but the firmware will skip it and boot something else (the
unblessed boot.efi on ESP).

Another possible difference could be that I am using a file system created by
hfs-mkfs which thus doesn't have any UUID. That could perhaps prevent the
firmware from making an exact match on the blessed efi and make it fall back to
some other mode.

Building in mock reveals a missing

BuildRequires: gobject-introspection-devel

After adding that line, it builds ok.

rpmlint output:

3 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 3 errors, 6 warnings.

Some things to fix here:

- The hardcoded library path is fine, but you need to add a
%dir /lib/udisks2 to own the directory.

- The file size mismatch should be investigated and fixed.

- You need to define dbus_version

- Should make /etc/profile.d/udisksctl-bash-completion.sh non-executable
(and, as already mentioned, consider moving it)

- You should probably add a comment in the file list explaining
  the permissions of /var/lib/udisks2

Is this just to satisfy the requirement to show the rpmlint output, or do you

--- Comment #6 from Jerry James loganje...@gmail.com 2011-11-24 15:55:30 EST
---
Well, no, it isn't really okay. I'll talk to upstream about it. Here's a
catalog of places where exit() is called:
- Solver/DimacsParser.cpp: if there is a parse error
- Solver/ClauseAllocator.cpp: if a memory allocation fails
- Solver/Solver.cpp: if it is asked to solve a problem that is too large
- Solver/SolverMisc.cpp: if output files cannot be opened

All of those should really either throw exceptions or return error values, so
the calling application can cope. What would you like me to do: import and
work with upstream on the side, or wait for upstream to address this issue
before importing?
