I was waiting for Debrashi to confirm me I am free to take this package. I am now :-) All your remarks incorporated, except: - Was "vendor" used in desktop files in older versions of this package? If not, it should not be used. I did not change this, its from original version of the package. I'd rather keep it if this is not an issue. - I'm not sure about those shell scripts that act as starters. Are they really necessary? I dont follow here, you mean %{_bindir}/%{name} %{_bindir}/%{name}-remote right? They both work and I use them quite often. Please elaborate if you mean something different. - When using sed, you are hardcoding /usr/bin. Use the %{_bindir} macro instead. Do you mean hardcoding of /usb/bin/sed invocation, or hardcoding the path in the script itself? Regarding harmonizing - I think its correct, I need to do the first sed in-place, while 2nd and 3rd are used when copying the shell script to the correct place. I have also added BuildRequires: sed. I am overwriting original files, use the same links to see it. [lzap@lzapx noarch]$ rpmlint decibel-audio-player-1.08-1.fc16.noarch.rpm 1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 0 warnings. Here we go! Some *very preliminary* thoughts after just having skimmed through the spec files: - Have you missed http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Ruby ? In particular, the empty %prep and %build together with how the "gem install" is performed in %install? - The only difference between the two spec files is the ruby version. Such a case is better handled with something like %if 0%{?fedora} > 16 ... in a common spec file. - The long paths in the %install can be handled by doing a cd %{buildroot}%{gemdir}/gems/%{gemname}-%{version} before doing the dirty chmod/rm work, improving readability. - Likewise, you can use doc/images/*.png. - Please reorder the tags according to /etc/rpmdevtools/spectemplate-ruby.spec in rpmdevtools (e. g., move BuildArch: above the Requires:). - Try to use space in a consistent way e. g. two blank lines between main sections as %prep, %build, %install %check etc., and a single blank line as appropriate in other cases. - The Group tag is not used by Fedora, and can be skipped. If you want to have it anyway (which is perfectly sane, it's required by the RPM spec) I guess System Environment/Libraries or Development/Libraries is a better choice(?) - The empty %check can be removed Run rpmlint on all packages + spec file and submit output together with the new spec versions. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ package-review mailing list package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/package-review

I report in comment 28 the two issues. Took a look at this. The "resample" they use is not the same libresample that Fedora has, ours has a completely different API. It looks like at some point, someone took the application "resample" and converted it into a simple library. I think the pjsip upstream knows about this too, see: http://lists.pjsip.org/pipermail/pjsip_lists.pjsip.org/2007-September/64.html Given that, I don't see how we can sanely replace the bundled resample with the system libresample. srtp is a different story, that was straightforward to do. I've attached a new spec and patch that uses the system libsrtp. (P.S. Widgets are re-usable web components that can include a template, server-side code and JavaScripts/CSS resources. The library aims to be: flexible, reliable, documented, performant, and as simple as possible. jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript. Widgets are re-usable web components that can include a template, server-side code and JavaScripts/CSS resources. The library aims to be: flexible, reliable, documented, performant, and as simple as possible. jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript. jQuery UI provides abstractions for low-level interaction and animation, advanced effects and high-level, themeable widgets, built on top of the jQuery JavaScript Library, that you can use to build highly interactive web applications. This module, tw2.jqplugins.ui, provides toscawidgets2 (tw2) access to jQuery UI widgets. I also checked out EPEL and that seems to work as well. http://dmlb2000.homelinux.org/packages/genders-1.18-2.fc18.src.rpm There's three issues rpmlint still seems to show up with. 1. Apparently libgenders.so.0.3.0 calls exit(). This in case flex can't parse the primary genders config file. So I don't blame them for this since the entire library is useless in the condition the config file is wrong. 2. There's a hardcoded library path in the spec %{_prefix}/lib/genders. This is where the compat libraries live. The automake also has this same hard coded library path and the files put there are old perl scripts. So I'm open for suggestions on what the 'right' thing to do is with these files. Could go out in %{_datadir}/%{name}? 3. EPEL build keeps complaining about having an unspecified group. However, its not needed when I build it on Fedora. Should I care that much? Also to the initial review I don't have any 'informal reviews' not sure what they'd be and where I'd get a link for them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ package-review mailing list package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/package-review

Your files are dated "2003-2009". There are only two project files with that combination of years in aws-gpl-2.10.0-src.tgz, and those are very different from yours, so it doesn't look like your files are modified versions of Adacore's. Debian's AWS package has an aws.gpr that looks fairly similar to yours, as if you had taken Ludovic's project file, adapted it for Fedora, and replaced Ludovic's copyright notice with Adacore's. Debian's templates_parser.gpr, on the other hand, looks quite different from your template_parser.gpr. If major parts of the project file code stem from Ludovic's project files, then you should include Ludovic's copyright notice. If you have edited a file so much that you have essentially written it all yourself, then you can write something like "GNAT project file for Ada Web Server, Copyright 2012 Pavel Zhukov", or you can choose to omit the copyright notice. That's at least how I understand it, but IANAL and so on. I suppose you can ask on the legal mailing list if you want other opinions.
