BTW the %{gem_instdir}/MIT_LICENSE should be marked by %doc macro.

And I have one additional note, Anuj have you verified that the gem works well
without the VERSION file? It is sometime needed, so I am just asking, have not
tested it myself in this particular case.

[Bug 961141] Review Request: debhelper - Helper programs for debian/rules

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=961141

--- Comment #5 from Oron Peled o...@actcom.co.il ---
Spec URL: http://oron.fedorapeople.org/deb-package/debhelper.spec
SRPM URL:
  http://oron.fedorapeople.org/deb-package/debhelper-9.20120909-1.fc18.src.rpm

for comment #3
 * The duplicate file revealed a far bigger issue -- find_lang --with-man
only handle single man-page -- replaced with modified logic in our .spec
 * Updated one $RPM_BUILD_ROOT to %{buildroot} so .spec is consistent
 * Updated changelog to have consistent version
 * About dpkg-devel:
   - Yes it is needed. It contains all the tools used by the debhelper
 wrappers like deb-substvars, deb-shlibs, etc.
   - The dpkg RPM split mirror the Debian package split -- I think w
  should stay that way.
   - Is there a standard way to declare -- this is an rpmlint exception?

for comment #4
 * No. The new version belongs to Debian/sid (unstable)
 * Meanwhile, all my RR are synchonized with Debian/wheezy (the new stable)
 * On the long run, I think Debian/testing is a better fit for
Fedora life-cycle. However, I think we should leave it for now:
   - Current Debian/jessie (new testing) has just been unfrozen, so not
 much of a difference.
   - If someone want to support EPEL, than Debian/stable may be a better
 starting point.

Also:
 * We still need the new dpkg (rhbz#648384)
 * And I'm in the process of pushing po-debconf
 * So maybe we should wait for few days for a final test

[Bug 891461] Review Request: phantomjs - Headless WebKit with a JavaScript API

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=891461

--- Comment #15 from Dan Callaghan dcall...@redhat.com ---
Thanks for the suggestions, Sergio. I'm publishing my patches in the fedora
branch of my phantomjs fork on Github, in case this makes it easier for you to
work with them:

https://github.com/danc86/phantomjs/commits/fedora

I've updated everything for 1.9.0, the new spec and SRPM are here:

http://fedorapeople.org/~dcallagh/phantomjs/phantomjs.spec
http://fedorapeople.org/~dcallagh/phantomjs/phantomjs-1.9.0-1.fc20.src.rpm

There are no more bundled dependencies left, but there are some test failures
which I will need to investigate further:

http://fedorapeople.org/~dcallagh/phantomjs/test-failures-1.9.0-1.txt

Most of those are due to missing enhancements in stock Qt. And there is no
headless support for the same reason.

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=961237

--- Comment #2 from Daniel Pocock dan...@pocock.com.au ---

https://www.resiprocate.org/files/pub/sipX/sipxtapi-3.3.0~test10.tar.gz

is not the final 3.3.0 release.

Rather, I have tracked the upstream project in a github fork to adapt the build
system for packaging.

If the review identifies more changes needed in the spec file or upstream build
system, those will be implemented before the final 3.3.0 tarball is created.
The real 3.3.0 tarball will then be ready for Fedora.

sipXtapi is not the same as reSIProcate. They both provide an independent SIP
stack implementation. reSIProcate includes a conferencing library, librecon.
The conferencing library uses the media framework from sipxtapi. That is why
this tarball is on the reSIProcate web server.

Christopher, the spec I linked to is a template, it is meant to be parsed by
autotools, it inserts the version number, package name, etc. The template is
kept in upstream git, the final generated spec file is produced automatically
when generating a tarball.

The generated spec file is inside the tarball. It builds cleanly with:

rpmbuild -tb sipxtapi-3.3.0~test10.tar.gz

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=956127

--- Comment #15 from Alec Leamas leamas.a...@gmail.com ---
Yes, that's definitely wrong. Looking into [1] I understand the the fontconfig
.conf template is normally is §used for two things:
- To define a whether this font (entypo) should be replacing another font
specified by user (the prefer stuff)
- To define a fallback font (the default clause)

Since entypo basically can't substitute for another font, and since there is no
useful specific fallback I've just made the config file to an empty
placeholder.

New release, new links:

--- Comment #22 from Craig Barnes cbgn...@gmail.com ---
I'm still maintaining the package and building/testing for each new Fedora
stable release. The the spec was updated to the latest Discount release (2.1.6)
last month.

Spec:

https://raw.github.com/craigbarnes/packages/master/discount.spec

F18 SRPM:

https://github.com/craigbarnes/packages/raw/gh-pages/18/source/discount-2.1.6-1.fc18.src.rpm

I'm subscribed to the Fedora announcement lists and I've kept up with changes
to the packaging guidelines, although this package in particular hasn't
required any changes.

I'm also maintaining a couple dozen other packages[1] but haven't opened a
packaging request for any of them yet, since I require sponsorship (if I
remember correctly) and assumed if this one has been open for 18 months, that I
was unlikely to get far with the others.

Koji scratch build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=5353109

Description:
The POSIX 1003.1-2001 standard defines an application programming
interface (API) for writing multithreaded applications. This interface
is known more commonly as pthreads. A good number of modern operating
systems include a threading library of some kind: Solaris (UI)
threads, Win32 threads, DCE threads, DECthreads, or any of the draft
revisions of the pthreads standard. The trend is that most of these
systems are slowly adopting the pthreads standard API, with
application developers following suit to reduce porting woes.

Win32 does not, and is unlikely to ever, support pthreads
natively. This project seeks to provide a freely available and
high-quality solution to this problem.

[Bug 960515] Review Request: perl-WWW-Shorten - Perl interface to URL shortening sites

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=960515

--- Comment #1 from Petr Šabata psab...@redhat.com ---
Please, rename the spec filename to %{name}.spec. While it's not required,
it'll be less confusing.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:NamingGuidelines#Spec_file_name

On the contrary, don't rename upstream tarball. There's no 'perl-' prefix
there. Also, your Source0 URL is incorrect because of this.

You're missing the MODULE_COMPAT macro.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Perl?rd=Packaging/Perl#Versioned_MODULE_COMPAT_Requires

Your package is also missing a bunch of build-time dependencies:
- perl (executed in spec, line 24), recommended
- perl(base), required
- perl(Carp), required
- perl(Exporter), required
- perl(LWP::UserAgent), required
- perl(strict), recommended
- perl(Test::More), required
- perl(warnings), recommended

The following deps are, even though they're listed in META* files, not used
anywhere in the code and should be dropped:
- perl(Config::Auto)
- perl(LWP)
- perl(Test::Simple)
- perl(URI)

There's no need for %{dist} in %changelog.

Not approving at the moment.

Hi Tomasz,

Saw your comments on the mailing list - use of /run/1wire would probably be the
simplest as it's closest to what people expect (/mnt is a FHS no-go IMHO). Any
more changes planned as I'm just trying to work out some json patches for
owhttpd (doesn't provide valid json output) and I can build with your spec

Andrew

perl-Test-Perl-Critic is packaged already into RHEL Base, no need to have it
packaged into EPEL as well. Closing this review request.

If you have time please help review some other packages like nsnake

less than 40 lines spec...and monitorix (written in perl)

Ok, much better.
Just change BuildRequires: glibc-common to iconv or %{_bindir}/iconv since
that's what you're actually using.
