[Bug 1562526] Review Request: libfullock - A Fast User Level LOCK (FULLOCK ) library for C and C++

Please wait a moment! because I found no %license macro in the new spec file in
my self-review. I must fix it.

[Bug 1570551] Review Request: pgcli - Postgres CLI with autocompletion and syntax highlighting

2018-05-25 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1570551

A problem not with pgcli but with fedora-review/mock is a terrible error
message.
I've tried running fedora-review in various ways, and I typically get:

INFO: Running checks and generating report
ERROR: Exception(/home/bothner/tmp/pgcli-1.9.1-3.fc28.src.rpm)
Config(fedora-rawhide-x86_64) 12 minutes 42 seconds
INFO: Results and/or logs in: /home/bothner/tmp/review-pgcli/results

ERROR: 'mock build failed, see
/home/bothner/tmp/review-pgcli/results/build.log'
[tmp]1013$ less /home/bothner/tmp/review-pgcli/results/build.log

Then I look at /home/bothner/tmp/review-pgcli/results/build.log and *there is
no error message there*. I see:

Executing command: ['/usr/bin/systemd-nspawn', '-q', '-M',
'9ef15e6bf216491ba8829a9ce86f2af0', '-D',

'/bin/bash', 'HOME': '/builddir', 'HOSTNAME': 'mock', 'PATH':
'/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin', 'PROMPT_COMMAND': 'printf
"\\033]0;\\007"', 'PS1': ' \\s-\\v\\$ ', 'LANG':
'en_US.UTF-8'} and shell False
Building target platforms: x86_64
Building for target x86_64
Wrote: /builddir/build/SRPMS/pgcli-1.9.1-3.fc29.src.rpm
Child return code was: 0
Mock Version: 1.4.10

(The "and shell False" is a bit weird but I have no idea if it is legitimate.)

This is a serious usability bug in mock and/or fedora-review: To write an error
message 'mock build failed, see FILENAME' and then have FILENAME not contain
any error message is pretty bad. (Not the fault of pgcli, of course.)

Can you elaborate a little more on how swift uses clang post-install? I
thought swift was building its own clang, so it wouldn't need the system clang.

Package Review
==

Legend:
[x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated
[ ] = Manual review needed
--> ... = Comments

= MUST items =

Generic:
[x]: Package is licensed with an open-source compatible license and meets
other legal requirements as defined in the legal section of Packaging
 Guidelines.
[!]: If (and only if) the source package includes the text of the
license(s) in its own file, then that file, containing the text of the
license(s) for the package is included in %license.
[!]: License field in the package spec file matches the actual license.

--> The old linter code is GPLv3+ as well as some stuff Petr Hracek
committed (he added the GPLv3 license text to the sources).
 --> should be GPLv3+

[x]: Package contains no bundled libraries without FPC exception.
[x]: Changelog in prescribed format.

--> However, it's much too detailed. It should only contain packaging
changes, like "new upstream version X" and "add patch that fixes FOO". I'd
suggest starting from scratch with one "initial import" entry. Detailed
upstream changelogs can be shipped as %doc files.

[x]: Sources contain only permissible code or content.
[-]: Package contains desktop file if it is a GUI application.
[-]: Development files must be in a -devel package
[x]: Package uses nothing in %doc for runtime.
[x]: Package consistently uses macros (instead of hard-coded directory
 names).

 --> NB: "%autosetup -n %{name}-%{version}" is the same as "%autosetup"
 alone.

[x]: Package is named according to the Package Naming Guidelines.
[x]: Package does not generate any conflict.
[x]: Package obeys FHS, except libexecdir and /usr/target.
[-]: If the package is a rename of another package, proper Obsoletes and
 Provides are present.
[!]: Requires correct, justified where necessary.

--> Requires python3-setuptools for runtime but it looks like this is only
 necessary for building.

[x]: Spec file is legible and written in American English.
[-]: Package contains systemd file(s) if in need.
[x]: Package is not known to require an ExcludeArch tag.
[x]: Package complies to the Packaging Guidelines
[x]: Package successfully compiles and builds into binary rpms on at least
 one supported primary architecture.
[x]: Package installs properly.
[x]: Rpmlint is run on all rpms the build produces.
Note: There are rpmlint messages (see attachment).
[x]: Package requires other packages for directories it uses.
[x]: Package must own all directories that it creates.
[x]: Package does not own files or directories owned by other packages.
[x]: All build dependencies are listed in BuildRequires, except for any
that are listed in the exceptions section of Packaging Guidelines.
[x]: Package uses either %{buildroot} or $RPM_BUILD_ROOT
[x]: Package does not run rm -rf %{buildroot} (or $RPM_BUILD_ROOT) at the
 beginning of %install.
[x]: Macros in Summary, %description expandable at SRPM build time.
[x]: Dist tag is present.
[x]: Package does not contain duplicates in %files.
[x]: Permissions on files are set properly.
[x]: Package use %makeinstall only when make install DESTDIR=... doesn't
 work.
[x]: Package is named using only allowed ASCII characters.
[x]: Package does not use a name that already exists.
[x]: Package is not relocatable.
[x]: Sources used to build the package match the upstream source, as
 provided in the spec URL.
[x]: Spec file name must match the spec package %{name}, in the format
 %{name}.spec.
[x]: File names are valid UTF-8.
[x]: Large documentation must go in a -doc subpackage. Large could be size
 (~1MB) or number of files.
Note: Documentation size is 0 bytes in 0 files.
[x]: Packages must not store files under /srv, /opt or /usr/local

Python:
[x]: Python eggs must not download any dependencies during the build
 process.
[-]: A package which is used by another package via an egg interface should
 provide egg info.
[x]: Package meets the Packaging Guidelines::Python

--> NB: Since we're (not yet) providing a module for other packages to
consume, it's fine to not list the provides as they're considered internal
to the package. This might change later if/when we split out commands.

[x]: Package contains BR: python2-devel or python3-devel
[x]: Binary eggs must be removed in %prep

[Bug 1581831] Review Request: libsmbios-cpp - Libsmbios C++ shared libraries

2018-05-25 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1581831

> libsmbios-cpp.src:58: W: configure-without-libdir-spec
> libsmbios-cpp.src:62: W: configure-without-libdir-spec
> libsmbios-cpp.src:63: W: configure-without-libdir-spec

I think these are false positives based on searching for the string
"./configure". Lines 58, 62, and 63 all happen to contain that string, but
aren't actually executing the configure script. Besides, that section of
%build was lifted directly from the RHEL spec file.

> libsmbios-cpp.src: W: patch-not-applied Patch0:
> disable-unwanted-components.patch

Another false positive. Patch0 is applied via the %autosetup macro. Fedora's
rpmlint is aware of this and doesn't return this warning.
