[Bug 1818670] New: Review Request: sensu-go - Sensu Go Open Source (Monitoring Program)
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1818670 Bug ID: 1818670 Summary: Review Request: sensu-go - Sensu Go Open Source (Monitoring Program) Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Component: Package Review Severity: medium Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org Reporter: devin@linuxstack.cloud QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org Target Milestone: --- Classification: Fedora Spec URL: https://github.com/devinacosta/sensugo-koji/blob/master/rpmbuild/SPECS/sensu-go.spec SRPM URL: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/5993/42855993/sensu-go-5.18.1-1.el7.src.rpm Description: Sensu is an open source monitoring tool for ephemeral infrastructure and distributed applications. It is an agent based monitoring system with built-in auto-discovery, making it very well-suited for cloud environments. Sensu uses service checks to monitor service health and collect telemetry data. It also has a number of well defined APIs for configuration, external data input, and to provide access to Sensu's data. Sensu is extremely extensible and is commonly referred to as "the monitoring router". Fedora Account System Username: devinacosta Notes: I have been asked by Sensu Inc, if I wouldn't mind helping them by maintaining Sensu Go (Open Source Edition) for them, so we can get it included into EPEL. I have successfully built the RPMS, even though I know my Spec file may need a little additional work. In order to get Sensu to compile, i had to TAR up the 70+ Go Modules needed and extract it. My first successful build is at: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=42855993 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. [Bug 1818565] New: Review Request: itf-poppins-fonts - A geometric sans serif Latin and Devanagari font family
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1818565 Bug ID: 1818565 Summary: Review Request: itf-poppins-fonts - A geometric sans serif Latin and Devanagari font family Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Component: Package Review Severity: medium Priority: medium Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org Reporter: nicolas.mail...@laposte.net QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org Target Milestone: --- Classification: Fedora Spec URL: https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/nim/fonts-rpm-macros/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/01322919-itf-poppins-fonts/itf-poppins-fonts.spec SRPM URL: https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/nim/fonts-rpm-macros/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/01322919-itf-poppins-fonts/itf-poppins-fonts-4.003-1.20200328git738d9d6.fc33.src.rpm Description: uring the 1920s, Central European type foundries joined the modernists movements in art and design. Modernism was truly international in scope; only three years after the founding of the German Bauhaus school, several of its painting instructors were already exhibiting their work in Calcutta. Geometric sans serif typefaces have been a popular design element ever since these actors took to the world’s stage. Poppins is one of the newest comer to this long tradition. An open source family supporting both Devanagari and Latin, this typeface is an internationalist take on the geometric sans genre. Many of the Latin glyphs — the ampersand, for instance — are far more constructed and rationalist than in previously released geometric typefaces. Poppins’s Devanagari design is particularly new. It is likely the first-ever large Devanagari family in this style that has been brought to market. The Poppins family includes all of the unique conjunct forms necessary for typesetting Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, etc. Just like the Latin glyphs, the Devanagari forms in Poppins are based pure geometry (particularly circles). Poppins’s letters are practically mono-linear, although optical corrections have been applied to stroke joints where necessary, to maintain an even color in text. The Devanagari base character height and the Latin ascender height are equal; Latin capital letters are shorter than the Devanagari characters, and the Latin x-height is set rather high. The Devanagari glyphs in Poppins were designed by Ninad Kale. The Latin is from Jonny Pinhorn. The Indian Type Foundry first published Poppins in 2014. [Bug 1805779] Review Request: pt-sans-fonts - A grotesque pan-Cyrillic font family
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1805779 --- Comment #16 from Nicolas Mailhot --- That’s i18n land, so not my stuff to complain about, but most of the comps fonts stuff is obsolete unmaintained junk. 1) "authoring-and-publishing" group pulls "tex-fonts-hebrew" → completely useless, we’ve have had Hebrew support in the default system font for 13 years now 2) "design-suite" group needs many fonts packages → is anyone maintaining those? I haven’t seen anyone design-side bothering about fonts for 5/7 years at least 3) "electronic-lab" group installs "xorg-x11-fonts-*" → that is obsolete now that wayland is here and legacy font format support is gone from harfbuzz-ng 4) "engineering-and-scientific" group installs "stix-math-fonts" → this has been gone upstream for years and it is gone in F33 too now 5) "fonts" group itself → replace it will langpacks 6) "gnome-desktop" comps group installs → don’t get me started on how GNOME is unable to work with the rest of the distribution 7) Then we still have "legacy-fonts" → death row corner from ~13 years ago. Just let them go So, not impressed at all with this list. Just remove the damn groups (or fill them with langpacks). Two competing systems won’t make one working system. Two competing systems mean two broken systems. No one will maintain two lists of fonts (tedious and pretty useless work). Please don’t stop in the middle of the river, finish the transition. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
