Package approved.

Package Review
==

Legend:
[x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated

= Issues =

- Man pages for virt-lightning/vl binaries would be nice
  (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#_manpages), but
  the package can be approved without them.

= Notes (no change required) =

- I think this would be a little simpler to maintain if it were ported to use
  pyproject-rpm-macros with generated BR’s, although some would still have to
  be manually specified.

- I filed an issue upstream to rename DEBUGING.md to DEBUGGING.md
  (https://github.com/virt-lightning/virt-lightning/issues/210)

- This is a false positive from rpmlint:

virt-lightning.noarch: E: explicit-lib-dependency libvirt-daemon

  as libvirt-daemon is not actually a library package.

- This is perhaps overly complicated:

# Remove shebang from Python libraries
for lib in virt_lightning/*.py; do
 sed '1{\@^#!/usr/bin/env python@d}' $lib > $lib.new &&
 touch -r $lib $lib.new &&
 mv $lib.new $lib
done

  as it could be written this way:

# Remove shebang from Python libraries
sed -i '1{\@^#!/usr/bin/env python@d}' virt_lightning/*.py

The thing with the summary and description being “doubled” happened again. Are
you using an automated tool to create your review request issues lately? If so,
there might be a bug…

I changed the title from

> Review Request: virt-lightning - Deploy your testing VM in a couple of
> secondsDeploy your testing VM in a couple of seconds

to

> Review Request: virt-lightning - Deploy your testing VM in a couple of seconds

and your description should be:

Description:
A CLI to start local Cloud image on libvirt! Virt-Lightning can quickly deploy
a bunch of new VM. It also prepares the Ansible inventory file! This is handy
to quickly validate a new Ansible playbook, or a role on a large number of
environments.

Are you still working on this?

Do you:

  1. Want someone to review the package as originally submitted? (If so, I
will.)
  2. Want to use the spec file I offered using pyproject-rpm-macros? (If so,
drop “BuildRequires: python3dist(setuptools)” because it is not needed with
“%pyproject_buildrequires”, and upload a new spec and SRPM.)
  3. No longer want to package this? Please close this issue.

Since I no longer remeber anything from thsi review :D I've decided to check my

OK.

This one is still present. All the other manual requires on Python packages
seem to be dropped.
My question stands: Why is this required and not part of upstream metadata?

OK.

Generally, all concerns except python3-pycdlib were fixed (and that is not a
blocker). I'm going to assume that no new problems were introduced. All the
packages built in your copr are installable.

Hence, APPROVED.
