[Bug 2013077] New: Review Request: prrte - PMIx Reference RunTime Environment (PRRTE)

2021-10-11 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2013077

Bug ID: 2013077
Summary: Review Request: prrte - PMIx Reference RunTime
Environment (PRRTE)
   Product: Fedora
   Version: rawhide
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
 Component: Package Review
  Severity: medium
  Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org
  Reporter: or...@nwra.com
QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org
  Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora

Spec URL: https://www.cora.nwra.com/~orion/fedora/prrte.spec
SRPM URL: https://www.cora.nwra.com/~orion/fedora/prrte-2.0.0-1.fc36.src.rpm
Description:
PRRTE is the PMIx Reference Run Time Environment.

The project is formally referred to in documentation by "PRRTE", and
the GitHub repository is "openpmix/%{name}".

However, we have found that most users do not like typing the two
consecutive "r"s in the name. Hence, all of the internal API symbols,
environment variables, MCA frameworks, and CLI executables all use the
abbreviated "prte" (one "r", not two) for convenience.

Imported in rawhide, although it will not replace mod_security2 yet since
upstream still consider mod_security3 as beta

Quote from upstream:

NOTE: This project is not production ready

This project should be considered under development and not production ready.
The functionality is not complete and so should not be used. With Apache HTTP
Server, the recommended version of ModSecurity is v2.9.x.

I packaged this up separately before realizing this review was already in
progress. I’ve closed my issue
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2012917), but please feel
free to take a look at my spec file and see if you want to copy any of my
tricks (https://music.fedorapeople.org/python-probeinterface.spec). I managed
to work around some of the offline testing issues, and I successfully built the
documentation.

[Bug 2012917] New: Review Request: python-probeinterface - Handles probe layout, geometry, and wiring to device

2021-10-11 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2012917

Bug ID: 2012917
Summary: Review Request: python-probeinterface - Handles probe
layout, geometry, and wiring to device
   Product: Fedora
   Version: rawhide
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW

Classification: Fedora

Spec URL: https://music.fedorapeople.org/python-probeinterface.spec
SRPM URL:
https://music.fedorapeople.org/python-probeinterface-0.2.5-1.fc34.src.rpm

Description:

A Python package to handle the layout, geometry, and wiring of silicon probes
for extracellular electrophysiology experiments.

Goals

Make a lightweight package to handle:

  • probe contact geometry (both 2D and 3D layouts)
  • probe shape (contour of the probe, shape of channel contact, …)
  • probe wiring to device (the physical layout often doesn’t match the channel
ordering)
  • combining several probes into a device with global geometry + global wiring
  • exporting probe geometry data into JSON files
  • loading existing probe geometry files (Neuronexus, imec, Cambridge
Neurotech…) Started here

Bonus:

  • optional plotting (based on matplotlib)
  • load/save geometry using common formats (PRB, CSV, NWB, …)
  • handle SI length units correctly um/mm/…

Target users/project:

  • spikeinterface team: integrate this into spikeextractor for channel
location
  • neo team: handle array_annotations for AnalogSignal
  • spikeforest team: use this package for plotting probe activity
  • phy team: integrate for probe display
  • spyking-circus team: handle probe with this package
  • kilosort team: handle probe with this package
  • tridesclous team: handle probe with this package
  • open ephys team: automatically generate channel map configuration files

[Bug 2000219] Review Request: llvm-libunwind - LLVM libunwind implementation

Few things:

- You decided to change default directory because of a conflict. You should
apply those changes to doc subpackage too.
Your package will put documentation in the same directory as (already
present) libunwind.
doc package main directory is: /usr/share/doc/libunwind
  main package directory: /usr/lib64/llvm-unwind
- devel subpackage contains shared libraries and static ones.
This is not allowed according to guidelines:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#_packaging_static_libraries
- Typo in License in doc subpackage '(' ?
  also other packages:
  llvm-libunwind.x86_64: W: invalid-license-exception exceptions
  llvm-libunwind.x86_64: W: invalid-license 2.0
- Both packages provides libunwind.so.X (yours ans libunwind's)
I would check if everything is according to guidelines here:

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#_downstream_so_name_versioning
Adding note, explanation (fixes if necessary) regarding this would be a good
idea.

cwt upstream had moved the 1.1.0 release tag a few commits further and thus
currently the cwt 1.1.0 contains the pytest suite. The .spec needed to be
rewritten a bit in order to follow this action:

SPEC:
https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/zmiklank/container-workflow-tool/fedora-34-x86_64/02883934-container-workflow-tool/container-workflow-tool.spec

COPR build:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/zmiklank/container-workflow-tool/build/2883934/

cwt 1.1.0 was also already uploaded to the PyPI database.
