[Bug 1942132] Review Request: intel-media-driver-free - The Intel Media Driver for VAAPI

2023-03-09 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1942132

--- Comment #36 from Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) ---
I don't get why there is a libigfxcmrt sub-package out of this project. Is this
used by some other component ?

My understanding is that library is a fork of this project:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2114125

Now if intel-media-driver is the only user of the library, I don't get the
problem to have it bundled at all.
It will avoid the need of any ABI computation.

Also it will ease the swap between the full featured and

Until a solution is found WRT alternative version
(https://github.com/intel/libva/issues/639 ), I would be okay to have a
downstream patch with the iHD-free driver name added into libva.
Please rename as appropriate.

This is actually because the CMakeLists doesn't declare it as a C-only project.
By default CMake assumes C++ projects unless you say otherwise.

Feel free to fix this if you want.

Indeed. I've added gcc-c++ (seems like Fedora's CMake macro requires g++ even
though the library is C only) and make.

I also had to dehardcode "build" in the "%check" section:
```
%check
%{_vpath_builddir}/tests/wslay_tests
It's now building fine using mock's rawhide config on Mageia. (Updated spec and
Description:
C++ header file library for SIMD based 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit data type
sorting on x86 processors. Source header files are available in src directory.
We currently only have AVX-512 based implementation of quicksort. This
repository also includes a test suite which can be built and run to test the
sorting algorithms for correctness. It also has benchmarking code to compare
its performance relative to std::sort.
I've reworked the first patch to (hopefully) make it upstreamable. I'm still
not sure I fully understand Fedora crypto policy and if it is really necessary,
either way, linking with OpenSSL seems like a better idea than statically
linking with AWS-LC.
I pulled the log from the Mageia SVN for a fuller RPM log matching Fedora
Your changelog entry needs to match the V-R entries listed in the preamble.
Description: Lightweight WebSocket library in C
Fedora Account System Username: akien
wslay is a lightweight WebSocket library, used notably by Godot Engine which is
packaged in Fedora as `godot` (and soon `godot3` too following bug 2176837).
The godot package in Fedora currently builds wslay from source, but it can be
built easily as a system library, like I did for the Mageia package. So I'm
proposing to include that package in Fedora too.
Bug ID: 2176837
   Summary: Review Request: godot3 - Godot 3.x compatibility
package, adapted from godot package
   Product: Fedora
   Version: rawhide
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
 Component: Package Review
  Severity: medium
  Priority: medium
  Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org
  Reporter: rversche...@gmail.com
QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org
  Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: https://akien.fedorapeople.org/srpms/godot3.spec
SRPM URL: https://akien.fedorapeople.org/srpms/godot3-3.5.2-1.mga9.src.rpm=
Description: Multi-platform 2D and 3D game engine with a feature-rich editor
(version 3)
Fedora Account System Username: akien
Existing `godot` package: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/godot
Diff of changes between godot-3.4.5-4 and godot3-3.5.2-1:
https://akien.fedorapeople.org/srpms/godot-to-godot3.diff
This follows bug 1552767 where the `godot` package was approved in 2018, and
I'm its current maintainer (as well as upstream project maintainer).
We just released Godot 4.0 as a major, compatibility breaking update, and we
would like to provide both versions in parallel to Fedora users, so they can
choose to stay on Godot 3.x for their existing projects, or port their projects
to Godot 4.x.
So this new package request is basically forking `godot` to `godot3`, with
appropriate renames, and updating the package from 3.4.5 to 3.5.2 while at it.
The main `godot` package will be upgraded to 4.0.
Hi Emmanuel,
Here's an update to latest release.
Lasso support has been disabled for F38+ but I guess it could be enabled back
after the following PR to lasso has been merged:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/lasso/pull-request/8 has been merged.
Upstream draft PR for specfile changes for the Fedora review is here :
https://gitlab.ow2.org/lemonldap-ng/lemonldap-ng/-/merge_requests/332
Spec URL: https://www.bachelot.org/fedora/SPECS/lemonldap-ng.spec
SRPM URL:
Regards,
Xavier
