Re: [PacketFence-users] Change label to custom_field_1

2016-06-08 Thread Leonel Bonito
Thanks Fabrice, but I was referring to the fields that can be added on the
captive portal, where guests enter their data.
I mean, in Portal Modules -> default_guest_policy -> Mandatory fields ->
custom_field_1
I didn't find the term "custom_field_1" in the LOCALE file.

Thanks!

Hello Leonel,

This is a known issue not fixed at the moment,

you can go in /usr/local/fingerbank/config/fingerbank.conf and add the
following:
[upstream]
api_key=YOUR API KEY

Then try to reload the Fingerbank Settings page.

thank you

We could also have the ability to specify the admin as a “listening daemon”,
just as for the portal.
That way, you could configure the “admin” as an additionnal listening daemon on
different interfaces.

Cheers!

ANN: PacketFence 5.3.1

The Inverse team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of
PacketFence 5.3.1.
This is a minor release containing important bug fixes.
This release is considered ready for production use and upgrading from previous
versions is strongly advised.

This is strictly a bug fix release.
It corrects the following issues.

Bug Fixes

 * Fixed radiusd dying due to OOM caused by pf::statsd calling on pf::config
 * Fixed incorrect whisper retention policy affecting metrics such as server
load and memory use
 * Fixed SMS and email registration case where using a different device to
register may set an incorrect role
 * Added delete session reason to status page logout
 * Fixed incorrect HTML escaping in LDAP and AD authentication sources

The radiusd bugfix is important enough on it's own to warrant upgrading.

If you are running 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3 you can get that same bug fix by running the
pf-maint.pl script without upgrading.
Versions older than 5.1 are not affected.

What I see is

If select name=match id=match class=input-mini option value=any
id=match.0 selected=selectedany/option option value=all
id=match.1all/option/select of the following conditions are met:

I have included my working examples below in case anyone else runs up against
this issue

[LCHS-DC00 rule EmployeeDevReg]

match=any
action0=set_role=EmployeeRegistration

Hello Paul,

what you can do is to check a user with adsiedit.msc to see what are the
attribut to match.
I am not sure that uid is member of AllStaff works but something like memberof
contain cn=AllStaff should be probably better.
Also use pftest to test your rules.

I'm having problems with CPU usage of my PF server.
To avoid this problem, I restart manually the PacketFence service every day at
6AM.
But... is there any way to see what's going on the server when it reaches high
CPU usages?

I put here some info...

That's right Arthur.

Timothy,

1 - Go to the folder /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
2 - Rename 'ifcfg-eth0' file as 'ifcfg-eth1'
3 - Edit the 'ifcfg-eth1' file and change the first line...
Where it says: DEVICE = eth0
Replace with: DEVICE = eth1
4 - Restart the network service by doing: 'service network restart'

If you still have problems, run 'dmesg | grep eth' to see what the number of
your interface.

In my case it was the ETH1.

It is a RedHat problem with cloned VM's, which cause the image to keep the old

Re: [PacketFence-users] Failed to Deploy OVF (PF ZEN)

2014-07-01 Thread Leonel Bonito
Hi!

I could solve my problem.

The PacketFence ZEN-4_3.zip-file contains 3 files instead of 4.

According to the PacketFence ZEN-4_3.mf-file, which contains information SHA1,
it says that the files are:

1- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-disk1.vmdk
2- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso
3- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3.ovf

The second file is missing.

I searched Google the SHA1 of the second file
(f21a71e8e31df73297bdd1ccd4a64a36831284bd) and found that refers to the file:
CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso

To resolve the problem:
- I downloaded the file from:
http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/centos/6.5/isos/x86_64/CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso
- Then I renamed it to PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso and put it in the same
folder with the other 3 files
- Finally, I was able to deploy from VMware!

Dave,

The file missing is
http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/centos/6.5/isos/x86_64/CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso
Download it and rename to 'PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso'.
Then put it in the same folder with the other 3 files.

Now you should able to make the OVF deploy.

Hello,

New to the list - so my apologies if this is something that I've just
overlooked. When trying to deploy the OVF to vSphere I noticed that the OVF
itself contains references to an ISO file that does not exist as it's packaged
with 4.3.0. Amy I missing something or is the OVF incorrect?
Thanks in advance and kind regards,

[PacketFence-users] Failed to Deploy OVF (PF ZEN)

2014-06-30 Thread Leonel Bonito
Hi,

When I tried to deploy OVF template from vSphere Client, I get this message:

Failed to Deploy:
Unable to access file: D:\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso.
No se pudo encontrar el archivo
'D:\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso'.

Inside ZIP file (PacketFence-ZEN-4_3.zip) there are 3 files:
- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3.mf
- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3.ovf
- PacketFence-ZEN-4_3\PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-disk1.vmdk

It seems like PacketFence-ZEN-4_3-file1.iso file is missing.

Someone could make it work?

Thanks.

[PacketFence-users] Redirection Doesn't Work

2014-04-28 Thread Leonel Bonito
Hi!

Today, after weekend, clients are not being redirected automatically to the
Redirection URL of the Portal Profile.
It's the second Monday where it happened.

I found that just restarting SNMPTrapd service, the problem disappear.

Does anybody know why this happen?

If you are using a Cisco Router you can setup Port-overload Address Translation
for each VLAN If the VLANs can talk to eachother (inter-VLAN routing) than you
want to make sure that you have ACLs setup on on each port overload that limit
outgoing traffic from only that VLAN's subnet. I'm not sure what the config
would be on another router, but I imagine its completely viable.

If you need any command reference for Cisco just let me know, and I will do my
best to help you.

Leonel

- eth2 (Type: Inline) connected to VLAN Y
- eth3 (Type: Inline) connected to VLAN Z

Since you are using inline setup, the natting / routing is done by PacketFence
itself (using iptables) and that would require a bit of iptables knowledge and
customization to achieve what you want to do but it is possible.

You'll have to modify the postrouting chain of iptables.

Cheers!

Re: [PacketFence-users] Issues with accents on MySQL

2014-04-21 Thread Leonel Bonito
Hi Loick,

I solved it!!

Acording this site...
http://search.cpan.org/~capttofu/DBD-mysql-4.027/lib/DBD/mysql.pm
...I added the 'mysql_enable_utf8' handle to connection string in file:
/usr/local/pf/lib/pf/db.pm (line: 104)

So my connection string was as follows:
$mydbh = DBI-connect( dbi:mysql:dbname=$db;host=$host;port=$port,
  $user, $pass, { RaiseError = 0, PrintError = 0, mysql_enable_utf8 = 1 } );

That's all!

With a browser I can reach the gif in https but not in http.
I've used wireshark and my firewall administrator also followed my connection

It's seem that PF is not answering to the request. I see TCP SYN from my

admin trace my connexion, packets are well transmit to PF.
I've thought PF was no listen on 80 but netstat tells me the opposite.
For the moment I've modified the URL in the pf.js script to reach an image on

more from the production vlan are you able to reach the gif ?

By the way when something like that happen, i use wireshark to see what happen
exactly on the device and to check if the http on the gif is working.

Hi
I've check with my firewall admins, http and https are ok to reach PF.
In fact it's seem that is PF that is not responding.
Do you in which log file I can look to find more information.
I also tried to change in pf.js the url from http to https but with no success.

I've made the correction on one of my captives portals.
Now I have the correct number of parameters in the source of the HTML page but
it's still doesn't work.
During the tests I've made a new constatation : I can reach the image
@-PF/common/networt-access-detection.gif with https not with http.

Ok I edit the source of the html page and found :

detectNetworkAccess.delay(12,

2, http://www.ac-rennes.fr;http://www.ac-rennes.fr, , PF-ip

  );
It seem that I have a problem with the number of parameters (5 instead of 4)
with one empty .
I've checked if the redirection url http://www.ac-rennes.fr have some
double-quotes in the GUI - no. Same for PF ip.
I don't know from where comes my parameter.

Hello,
we change the javascript code for the portal detection.
If you create your custom portal page then it can be the issue.

Check that in your html page the call to detectNetworkAccess look like that:
  detectNetworkAccess.delay([% initial_delay %],
[% retry_delay %], [% destination_url %], [% external_ip %]
  );

Hello
I have a strange phenomenon with the network access detection.
Before I upgrade to 4.1.0 , I have used the public IP address of our Web server
for the parameter IP in the Captive Portal section (our firewall don't let
wifi's users to reach the packetfence server sub-network).
The network detection was OK.
After the upgrade I have no detection (but the network is well activated).
I have asked my firewall managers to temporaly authorize the IP address of my
PacketFence server as preconize in the configuration section.
The detection is still failed, but I'm able to reach with my browser the
network-access-detection.gif image.
Is somebody have any clue to solve my problem ?
Or do you know in which packetfence file it's possible to change the
destination of that test ?

Thank you for your attention.

Ulrich,

In your network configuration there are a gateway: 172.16.205.254
Are this OK?

Could you try to replace it with 172.16.205.91?

Can you specify the IPs/subnets used?
Maybe all the IPs are on the same subnet and the routing on PF server goes
through the wrong interface?

[PacketFence-users] How to modify Locales

2014-03-06 Thread Leonel Bonito
Hi guys,

(my first mail to the group...)

I need to make some changes in locales to fix some accents.
In the following folder: /pf/conf/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES we have two files:
- packetfence.mo
- packetfence.po

The first one, binary format and the next, plain format.

I'm trying to change the plain format file but I don't see any changes when I
receive e-mail notifications from the registration system, for example.

It is necessary modify the binary file too?

Thanks in advance!
