I had one or two packages for now (one of them uhexen2), which needs
to build against Packman project and then it can be submitted to
Packman and hosted there, but what I need more - is the access to
Packman API to perform a local builds (i.e. osc --local-package),
which I do often with packages, so I can, for example, take xbmc or
any other package and build it automatically locally with custom
changes without troubles - I won't be consume the Packman resources
for a local-only needed tasks and don't build such tasks on the
Packman itself.

Cheers.

Hi
With all due respect, most of those packages are just copy or linked to
other folks builds. Do you have contributions, packages you
have created and submitted to the openSUSE project (as in devel or
factory)?

Resources on pmbs are thin at best. If you just wanting to build stuff
for your own consumption, then suggest you create your own build
service instance. Here you could incorporate either pmbs or openSUSE
apis.

There is nothing suspicious here, Richard, as I'm already answered you
earlier in details. I'm often building packages with custom setups.
And since it is not possible to do with packages against Packman
project at my OBS account
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:openSUSE_user1, I
requested the API access here to have the ability to do local builds
with osc.

Hello Packman Maintainers,

I don't mean to meddle, but despite this persons email address
(devel.opensuse@gmail.com) I do not believe this request is coming
from anyone 'officially' affiliated with the openSUSE project.

Given the potentially 'suspicious' choice of mail address and the nature
of the request, I think it might be an idea to investigate further to
understand who this person is and why they desire this access before
accepting this request.

Regards,

Richard Brown

[packman] Trial to sing up for OBS; updated goldendict and ppsspp with ffmpeg dependency

2014-07-27 Diskussionsfäden Sergey Kondakov
Hi. In my repos on SUSE's OBS i'm making some packages that depend on
ffmpeg that SUSE project hates:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:X0F/goldendict (newest
pre-release)

https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:X0F/goldendict-git
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:X0F:branches:Emulators/ppsspp
(Packman packages of it are obsolete)
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:X0F:branches:Emulators/ppsspp-git
(has a bundled copy for now, but may use system one)

I wanted to host those on your project, since this is what its
supposedly all about. But to even sing up, one, apparently, has to
receive some holy blessings or something from here while stumbling upon
a well hidden subscription mailing list link.
Also, does mail sent to packman@links2linux.de (as per Packman's site's
main page instructions) gets silently ignored if sender is not
subscribed ? Because i can't see the first version of this message in
the archives.

Anyway, if you want them, sing me up ('F0X' username) or just take them
for yourself.
