'pkgconfig(X)' is just a tag for a devel package which provides "X".
That way more than one devel package can provide "X", or the devel
pacakge can be renamed. It is similar to how the ELF libraries do
Provide their SONAME and apps Require their NEEDED, see the output of
'readelf -d /usr/lib64/libz.so' for example.

Regarding building a package, either use 'osc build' or use 'zypper
source-install --build-deps-only mythtv'

I will leave that to Johannes, who seems to update that copy of k3b from
time to time. I think I just disabled some repos to reduce the number of
reported failures.

You could build/provide the KDE4 version for 42.1 (like for 13.2) though.

Kind Regards,

k3m: unresolvable: nothing provides cmake(KF5Cddb)
libkcddb5: unresolvable: nothing provides extra-cmake-modules >= 5.24.0

[packman] Why is k3b _disabled_ in pmbs for openSUSE Leap 42.1?

2016-11-10 Diskussionsfäden Manfred Hollstein
Hi there,

I just updated all my 42.1 systems to the latest state of packages
available from the Packman mirrors. "zypper up" left two orphane
packages "k3b" and "k3b-lang", which came from the Essential repo so
far.

Looking at pmbs shows that the package has been enabled for 42.2, but
disabled for 42.1. It is my understanding that 42.2 is not yet
officially released, so we should be able to keep up to date with the
current 42.1 installations, shouldn't we? Can the package be re-enabled
again, please?

TIA, cheers.

Hi,

I see on the pbs that the mythtv package is at version 0.28+git.20160823 but
the published version is at 0.27.

The URL for the repo I have is
http://pmbs.links2linux.de:82/Multimedia/openSUSE_Factory_ARM/. The last update for
armv7hl is 2015-08-30 whie for >> armv6hl is 2016-10-31, which is what I would
expect.

Could anyone look at it?

I usually do not follow ARM, is there a slim chance that the few
workers just can't keep up? If new checkins into Factory appear faster
than ARM can build them, then the repository will will never reach the
"publishing" state.

Olaf

Thanks. uhmm, I'm not sure if its because works can't keep up. The fact is that
armv6hl doesn't have this problem and I suspect that the workers are quite
similar. But honestly, obs is not my strongest point.

@Guillaume, do you have any idea why the multimedia repo for armv7 is frozen in
2015?

My ARM workers did not build for packman since a while since I had a storage
failure and few free time to work on it.
So, it may be due to never ending builds. I will try to set-up new ARM workers
for packman on my side. Let's see if with more ARM workers it gets better.

Guillaume

Thanks!
