Couldn't extract Flash movie URL. This site may need specific support
adding,
or fixing.

Please confirm the site is using Flash video and if you have Flash
available
check that the URL really works(!).

Check for updates by running: /usr/bin/get_flash_videos --update

If the latest version does not support this please open a bug
at http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-videos/ making sure you include
the output with --debug enabled. Alternatively, fix it yourself and send us
a pull request on Github: https://github.com/monsieurvideo/get-flash-videos

Currently it seems broken at this point:

You can't adjust the default location for the creation of the .iso or the
name of the .iso to be saved
Accepting the defaults moves on to the creation process (see image) but it

AFAIK devede has problems with KDE's gtk2-oxygen theme.
Try to change the GTK2 theme to something else and it should not crash.

PS: I tried it myself again now (I don't use devede), and while it
doesn't
crash with a different theme, unfortunately it doesn't work either, I
see what

you describe. (the process never actually moved on from 0%)

Following output appears in the terminal:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/devede_main.py", line 475, in
on_main_go_clicked
if conversor.create_disc():
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/devede_convert.py", line 365, in
create_disc
filefolder2=os.path.join(filefolder,self.filename)
File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/posixpath.py", line 77, in join
elif path == '' or path.endswith('/'):
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'endswith'

Should be fixed with this upstream commit:
https://github.com/rastersoft/Devede/commit/84c04a533ee2dbd314d4e1cdbcb43b24be51cf44

With this patch it works fine here.
So I guess it's time for yet another bug report... ;-)

Btw, you can apply the fix yourself. Just open the file
/usr/lib/python2.7/site-
packages/devede_convert.py in a text editor (as root) and add the
following

after line 353, which should read "filefolder=wdir.get_current_folder()":
if filefolder is None:
 filefolder="/tmp"

Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Thanks
Solved
But in the process I ended up using DVDStyler in Mint 13. As devede in
Mint produced a duff .iso

DVDStyler in openSUSE just ran and ran and ranforever (Hyperbole)
Mint processed it quickly in the end, even on my netbook.

No, it doesn't provide it:
# rpm -q --provides cdrkit-cdrtools-compat
cdrkit-cdrtools-compat = 1.1.11-16.1.3
cdrkit-cdrtools-compat(x86-64) = 1.1.11-16.1.3
(that's on 13.1, but it was the same on 12.3 already, IIRC)

The packages (others are also affected) should require /usr/bin/mkisofs
instead I think, this could be resolved with either
cdrkit-cdrtools-compat

or the mkisofs package from Multmedia:apps.

I created bug reports now about those packages, and some more I found to
have

A preferred option would be to use b43 if your hardware permits?
The updated 'wl' shouldn't take too long, but how long I don't know.
The only obvious way to know if packman has the necessary updates it to
take note if 'wl' is being updated at the same time as the kernel. Not all
kernel updates though will require an update to 'wl'

I know some of you are responsible for the Oneclick multimedia.

Just passing on a comment made in the forum:
It may of course be down to user inexperience. They were replying to the
multimedia guide I write in the forum, which is much more complete and
detailed.

The GNOME one-click doesn't install enough software to play DVDs. You
need to follow this guide manually: the one-click is missing tons of
packages specified in this guide and is, frankly, useless. =/ If you
follow the guide and install the packages manually, you'll be fine.

E.g. libdvdplay0 doesn't get installed by the one-click, nor does
gstreamer-0_10-fluendo-mp3... just a couple omissions that looked
important to me, there's many more.

People WILL go back to Ubuntu if they don't figure this out. =(

[packman] possible gstreamer issue

2011-12-18 Diskussionsfäden Carl Fletcher

I'm reporting this as a 3rd party.
I was contacted via the openSUSE forum with a mp3 playback issue
It seems to be only files from a specific source that are affected
The same files though, play back fine in other popular distros

I was given a copy of a file
Tried playback in Amarok and it was distorted
My solution was to switch the backend in kde settings from gstreamer to
Xine (phonon-vlc also seems to work OK)

Here is the media info reported to me:

Re: [packman] Inconsistencies openSuSE 11.4 / Tumbleweed / Packman Tumbleweed

Hi,

I run openSuSE 11.4 / Tumbleweed / Packman Tumbleweed.

zypper verify at the moment shows the following inconsistencies (I
ignored some depencies to get installed, what I want...) which I
packman blame for:

Problem: nothing provides libqt4-x11>= 4.7.3 needed by
kaffeine-1.2.2-1.pm.1.7.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides libqt4-x11>= 4.7.3 needed by
k3b-codecs-2.0.2-8.pm.13.16.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides libqt4-x11>= 4.7.3 needed by
k3b-2.0.2-8.pm.13.16.x86_64
Problem: kaffeine-lang-1.2.2-1.pm.1.7.noarch requires kaffeine = 1.2.2, but
this requirement cannot be provided

The first three: There is no kde 4.7 in standard openSuSE / Tumbleweed
- should'nt packman tumbleweed built against what is in standard
repositories? Depency is>=, so newer KDE should work anyway, but older
will cause conflict in standard install...

The fourth seems to be an side effect of the above ones, because
kaffeine is installed:

jill:/home/ml # rpm -qa|grep kaffeine
kaffeine-lang-1.2.2-1.pm.1.7.noarch
kaffeine-1.2.2-1.pm.1.7.x86_64

(please CC me, I'm not on the list)

libqt4-x11
Is installed?

I see it in Oss, Updates and my kdeR47 repo (not using tumbleweed)

Hi,

I'm using clementine-0.7.1-4.19.x86_64 on an OS 11.4 system.

Linux 2.6.37.6-0.7-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2011-07-21 02:17:24 +0200
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
with XFCE / LXDE from their corresponding project repo.

If I try to shut down clementine, the symbol disappears from the task
bar, but the process is still running afterwards, with 100% CPU time.

Any chance of investigating this?

Sorry but I removed the package and didn't investigate. All I can say is
I was using it from Gnome.

But my _64 Laptop G550 KDE runs Clem fine as does my x86 R61 using gnome

Has rendered no audio in smplayer.
It involves video downloaded with get_iplayer and it's really quite a

You may have already had reports of issues with this latest update, I
noticed it yesterday, but only just found time to report to you. Not
sure of the tech info but: In the GUI - side bar area - some tabs do not
display but will do if you hover the mouse over where they should be.
They are then clickable.

Thanks for your work
