Almost overlooked that, I kicked the 3 packages now, I will have a look

Hi all,

I replied to Guillaume's mail only to him - by accident, so here for

Easy, and local :-)

I had to change the content of the variable OBS_WORKER_DIRECTORY
in /etc/buildhost.config (or in /etc/sysconfig/obs-server, if it is not
listed in buildhost.config). The path defined there MUST NOT end with a
slash "/", but just with the name of the directory, like:
OBS_WORKER_DIRECTORY="/var/cache/obs/worker"

The build script from the build server concatenates the working
directories for the individual workers with "/root_1" , eventual
leading to "/var/cache/obs/worker//root_1", which works, apart from the
comparison in the build script with the build root, which has only one
slash there.

This was the cause for the build errors on all of my chroot build
workers.

Ok.

Stefan, what was your fix for the _service problem encountered on
pmbs (ARM) workers?

Guillaume

First of all, thank you guys, having all the arm packages for opensuse is
really nice!

If I'm not wrong, this problem was caused by insufficient arm power, right?.
Since one of my boards does nothing most of the time, I think it could be used
to build packages on pmbs. Is there a guide or something?

You should contact Stefan about that.
Then, if you have any ARM specific problem, send me an e-mail.

Guillaume

Essentials+Multimedia have ~700 packages targeted for armv7l. Even if we
manage to disable 10% of the packages because they are not useful on
armv7l (or %arm in general), the remaining ~600 packages will take a
very long time to build. Perhaps *_ARM should be set to block=local, or
whatever OBS scheduling strategy makes sense.

I think rebuild block=local is not a good idea. OBS did it for Factory:ARM repo
and there are lots of problems with deps.

Since I re-enabled one of my ARM workers, it seems to be better. ;)

The same happens with opencv and opencv-qt5, they also dont get out of

Mmmh yes, there has been a stale status file in the jobs queue for
autopano-sift-C. I have removed it and triggered a rebuild, now it is
building.

Multimedia/openSUSE_Factory_ARM/armv7l reached state "published" a few minutes
ago.

For some reason Multimedia/autopano-sift-C is in state "scheduled" for a
very long time. Its not clear why it does not start building. Maybe this
pkg was the reason why armv7l never reached "published"? I had to
disable this pkg to actually let the repo state change to "publishing".

Thanks. uhmm, I'm not sure if its because works can't keep up. The fact is that
armv6hl doesn't have this problem and I suspect that the workers are quite
similar. But honestly, obs is not my strongest point.

@Guillaume, do you have any idea why the multimedia repo for armv7 is frozen in
2015?

My ARM workers did not build for packman since a while since I had a storage
failure and few free time to work on it.
So, it may be due to never ending builds. I will try to set-up new ARM workers
