PQA and PalmOS 5 / wildcard SSL certificates

2003-12-01 Thread Noah Hornick
I've got two problems right now with a PQA (Web Clipping Application):

First is that it doesn't work at all on PalmOS 5 - clicking on this icon
gives an error message with the text (3402)[bluetie.pqa]. There's no
explanation offered, but I found a mention of someone getting the same
error number with the explanation This application is incompatible with
this version of Palm OS. The PQA works fine on 4.x and earlier versions of
PalmOS. Has anyone seen this? Is there an updated PQA Builder I just can't
find?

Second, the same PQA is having problems connecting since we installed a
wildcard SSL certificate (*.whatever.com). I'm getting errors about the
site name not matching the name on the cert. Palm says they've updated
their proxies and everything should be fine, but, well, it isn't. Has
anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have any ideas?

  Thanks,
  Noah Hornick

Nope. The INetLib and Web Clipping technologies were not ported to Palm OS
5 -- support was dropped, to be replaced by more capable web browser solutions.
