I think you can download the 1550 ROM from the Symbol website and use it with the emulator. You will have to set up a developer account to download the ROM file. However, I do not think you can emulate the barcode reader. You may be better off asking this question in the Symbol forum. That's what I get for using a free app. It works ok for simple sentences.
