[Paraview] Paraview versions
Hello, I just have a simple question: what is the latest version of Paraview for linux, I have 3.14.1 now. Thanks! [Paraview] Annotate time filter
Dear paraview users, I have a question over the use of Annotate time filter in Paraview. I have a netcdf data which has time axis given as days since 1950-01-01 00:00. This gives problem if I want to show the real time of the data in the animation window. What I would like to have shown are the date as 4-8-2003, 00:00 etc. But now it shows big number like 19521, 19522. Indeed they are days from 1-1-2950. Other visualization program like Ferret does show the right date. Does anyone have some idea how to solve the problem? Thanks a lot! Re: [Paraview] Annotate time filter
Hello Seb, Thanks a lot for your reply. I just looked I didn't see something like Python Annotation in the filters What I have is only Annotate time filter. The question is how can I get this filter? I'm running Paraview3.14.0 32bits. Is this a good version? Or I need to do some extra...? Cheers! [Paraview] rotate
Dear ParaView Users, I have a question over the camera rotation in Paraview. Since I normally visualize Earth system data. The global should rotate from east to west, but ParaView rotate automatically from west to east. My question is whether it is possible to rotate the other way round? Thanks! [Paraview] [Fwd: transparent color too weak]
---BeginMessage--- Dear ParaView users, I often need to use transparent color to visualize rain or temperature on the Earth. My problem is that the color becomes too weak if the opacity set to 0.4 or 0.3. My colleague made the visualization in the same way using google earth the color stays strong while it is clearly transparent. Does anyone know a way to improve this? Thanks a lot! Re: [Paraview] which version of ParaView has Animation Inspector?
Thanks a lot, Ken for your reply. Far superior, I still found difficult to use the Animation View to, for instance, let the glob to rotate twice. The first time is easy as long as the radius is chosen the rest is set by the software. But if I want to let it to rotate again then it get funny numbers that the object is out of view. I have to type all the terrible numbers by hand. I haven't found a way to copy from somewhere or load from a file... Also it seems impossible to combine rotation with zoom together. I sent mail about this but get no reply back. If you can help me with these questions I'll be grateful! Thanks! Re: [Paraview] place 2-D png file in 3-D field
Thanks for your mail. I created a plane source as you suggested, but still it's difficult to put it on the right place. You know the movie shows a global with clouds of rain on it. It zooms in and out and rotates. This image has to do the same as the globe all the time. I wonder if there is a way to fix the image in the window just as if it has an own 2d space Xueli Sebastien Jourdain wrote: If you create a plane source, you can use your image as a texture. Re: [Paraview] place 2-D png file in 3-D field
It is a good idea! It solves for great part the problem. Only when it zooms in very much then the background image will totally hidden... I'll use it unless there is a better solution for it. Thanks!
