Well, it was a startup option in my msconfig start up options but it has

It is the software used to cue and produce mp3 files in the background
with Kurzweil 1000, and it is used to restart the
process to conclusion after a proper shutdown.

copying stream url's

2004-04-23 Thread Schulz, Maureen, SSA
Hi everybody, I would like to copy and paste a stream url into the
appropriate player on my second pc. The url looks like this:

C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\JA1CYT8A\radiotwo[1].ram

I cannot just paste this in because of the first part. It won't copy over.
How do I modify the file name to be able to do this? Thanks.

Hi Maureen,

That's not really a URL, it's a file. The easiest way to play that
file is probably to navigate to that folder using MyComputer or
Windows Explorer and simply hit enter on the .ram file name.

Your wrong. A .ram file is just a file consisting of text of an burl
pointing to a .rm file.

I think you should have quoted the whole message. In case you don't have it
any more go to the Real Networks site and look up in their faqs the
difference between a .ram and .rm file. In any case, you aren't playing a
.ram file, you're using a .ram file to point to a .rm file or list of .rm
files.

Hi, Steve. Wasn't there a problem selecting tracks with 7.0?
I seem to remember he had a grid instead of a list box and this made it
hard for screenreaders to check and uncheck the tracks in the list.

changing ballance in Sound Forge

How do you change the left right ballance in SF5? I found one way but it is
complex and you can't hear the result till the file is processed. I used
the volume dialog in the process menu.

Re: copying stream url's

2004-04-23 Thread Jeff - The Ultra Guy
Tim, I know the difference between a .ram file and a .rm file. But,
that wasn't the question. Maureen was trying to paste a path and
filename into a player as a URL. My point was (and still is) that a
path on a local drive is not a URL.

A URL begins with a protocol such as http or ftp. A file path begins
with a drive letter. Some programs such as Internet Explorer can
detect the difference automatically and deal with either one
appropriately. Other programs such as winamp make a distinction
between the two. In winamp, press the letter l to specify a file,
press CTRL-L to specify a URL.
