CDs not playing on PC
On some of my music CDs, some old, some new, when I put them in my D drive, won't even load and run. I hear the same sound as a blank CD. At first, I thought it was some copyright kind of thing, but they won't even start spinning. I tried all my players, and tried to find the CD using Windows Explorer, no luck. These CDs, however, will play on a regular audio CD player. Any ideas? thank you ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You can't listen to a song straight through with amazon, I find that the little segments they select aren't necessarily representative of the whole song, particularly when your talking about a classical or ambient piece with several movements. Sometimes they seem to pick the part of the song with the least going on. Re: Veronica FM Transmitter frequency changing
Hi Jim. Snap! I got mine yesterday; magic, isn't it? Regarding your question. My brother, who has had one for a few months, advised me to tune my radio into an area between stations, then locate a screw hole on the base of the Veronica and turn the screw slowly, until the signal is picked up in the radio. Probably a job for two people if your radio or tuner is some distance from the transmitter. Best try a quiet song so you can tune it in closer, if you know what I mean. Get back if you experience problems. Incidentally, I ventured into my garden with a radio and managed to get about 100 feet before loosing the signal. The batteries in the radio are quite low so I'm going to repeat the exercise with new batteries. Best wishes. Andy from sunny Kilcreggan. Hi Thanks for your tips. I have now managed to tune my unit into the frequency I wanted. It did take quite a bit of trial and error though. The adjustment of the screw is very sensitive. Re: Veronica FM Transmitter frequency changing
Jim and Andy, We have our Veronica plugged into the sound card of my computer. We chose a cd we know well and used it to test the transmitter after we chose the quiet spot. The cd we chose was one of the Tim-Life 1970's set. we chose I Remember You by Frank Ifield (spelling)?. We first got a very quiet spot on the radio dial, then tuned for speaker separation. The song has good separation and bass response so we got an excellent signal which hasn't had to be adjusted in over 3 years. Sometimes the lead wires get covered by papers on my desk; so when it starts getting fuzzy I spread the leads out and that takes care of it. I bought the transmitter without the case and a friend mounted it for me. On Wed, 17 Nov 2004 15:57:25 -, you wrote: Hi Jim. Snap! I got mine yesterday; magic, isn't it? Regarding your question.
