Re: News Readers Agent Specifically

2004-11-25 Thread Bradford Trainham
Hi,
Agent 2.0 doesn't work with Jfw, but if you can find a version of
Agent 1.93, (possibly from the forteinc site) Jfw works with that fine
as that program is delivering this very message.
Good luck,
Brad

Does anyone know if the news reader, Agent 2.0 works completely with JFW???

Since they have not updated the scripts since like version 3.7, I am curious
if Agent is still happy with JFW??

Re: Aiwa boombox

2004-11-25 Thread Rick and Pauline
Hi Terry,
My best guess is that two of the four buttons on your boombox are used to
select your program presets, while the remaining two are for scrolling
through all the stations your radio will pick up.

Subject: Aiwa boombox

Hello everyone,
I got a call this weekend, that my Aiwa boombox I ordered was in. So on
Monday I went and picked it up.
It is terrific. I am really glad that I kept looking, and that I sent the
Sony back.
I don't have the bleed in with my NPR station like I did with that Sony,
and
I am very happy about this.
Also, for the last three nights, I've listened to WSM an AM station out of
Tennessee.
This station is the home of the Grand Ole Opry.
I've never been able to pick up this station before, so this is just cool!
I haven't really gotten around to messing with the tape deck, or CD player
yet. But I have no doubt that I will like them.
I did test the tape deck while looking at the display model.
The price on the Aiwa website is less than what I paid, but I don't mind.
I
think the price was definitely worth it.
Here is the model number for anyone who's interested.
CSD-DX51
This thing sounds absolutely wonderful.
There are still some buttons that I haven't figured out. And it took me a
day or two to get used to where things were. But now it's not as
confusing
to me.
However, one thing I don't understand, is why I seem to have four buttons
for going threw the radio stations.
If I'm using the two on the right, and I lock on a channel, but then
switch
using the left buttons, I'll end up back on the last station. If I go
back
to using the right two buttons.
I was wondering if maybe there are two FM bands, but I wasn't sure if that
was possible. And the info you get from the Aiwa website, doesn't say
anything about that.
Well, everyone have a happy Thanksgiving.
Terri

2004-11-25 Thread TerriStimmel
Hello Rick and list:
That's what a friend of mine thought also.
So if this is what it is, then all four buttons would go threw the stations,
right?
I'm actually wondering how I can save stations, but so far I haven't figured
it out. I'm hoping that it won't be an option in the menus.
Which I know there has got to be some menu items that I won't be able to
use, because there's a menu button. This thing has a clock on it also.
Thank you for your thoughts.

Nero problem

2004-11-25 Thread TerriStimmel
Hello everyone, and happy Thanksgiving,
Like my subject says, I have a nero problem.
Right now, I'm using a demo of version 6, but will have the real thing soon.
I'm wanting to burn a CD, and would like to use the wizard. However, mine
isn't set up that way.
Can I change the set up? If so, then how?
I looked threw the preferences, but didn't see anything about the wizard in
there.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Looks like the wizard has been removed from versions of nero 6.3 and above.
At least I can't find it anywhere either. It used to be available from the

2004-11-25 Thread Norma A. Boge-Conyers
Hi listers,
Just a couple comments about Aiwa and its products. First, the company
name Aiwa is spelled A I W A, though it is pronounced I-wa, sort of like
the state Iowa. secondly, 1-800-BUY AIWA (1-800-289-2492) is a fantastic
resource for help with troubleshootting or using their products. I have an
Aiwa home receiver, and I've called a few times over the years. When I
explain to the customer service person that I am blind, they have always
been very helpful in helping me resolve my problem, like when I hit a
remote button which produces an undesired result.Make sure you have your
model number available when you call.

HTH from Iowa the state,
Norma

Hi All,
In my experience, Nero Express is very much not screen reader friendly.
Whereas, the full version of Nero works very well. I use it with
Window-Eyes but assume that it works equally well with Jaws. If you want to
use Nero, you will save yourself lots of pain by getting the full version.
The bad news is the cost. I do find Nero to be a fine burning program.

2004-11-25 Thread Kurt E. Yount
My hard drive crashed and I need some way to convert MP3 to audio. My
bookport died and I need a way hopefully besides saypad to try to convert
a text file or a dozen into MP3. I want to read the new stephen king and
the bookport will not be back till January. I would appreciate any
suggestions. I also lost total recorder, easy CD extractor and everything
else. If anything can help with any of these addresses I would
appreciate it. Thanks to everybody's patience in this matter. Kurt
