Re: two questions about For the People and jfw script loading into jaws6.0
Deb: I'm having the exact same problems with FTP and even did the steps on the web site. I can't even get Skype to work. First of all, you need the updated scripts for Skype which you can get from www.jfwlite.com The easiest thing is to extract the scripts to a blank folder, then copy them in to the explore jaws settings file which is under your jaws under programs. - Original Message - From: "DL Ver Steeg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 9:12 PM Subject: two questions about For the People and jfw script loading into jaws6.0 Hi, My name is Deb Ver Steeg and I am new on the list. Re: trouble with ntrack studio.
Well what happens after eight tracks? If it's something that can't be avoided, then you could mix down what you have and add to that. There's a check box that says to decrease volume when tracks are added. I haven't figured out why you would want it to do that though. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? Skype and JAWS
Hi Listers, I want to caution anyone wanting to download the latest builds of Skype, directly from the Skype site. The latest versions of Skype are not yet supported by Chris Nestrud / Doug Lee, the makers of the Skype Scripts for JAWS. On their site, however, you can obtain a slightly older version, 1.0.0.100. Please use this one, or if you want, I can send you the last build, which was 1.0.0.106, which was the last 1.xxx build, before version 1.1.xxx of Skype came out. If you install the JAWS scripts and the older versions of the Skype program, things will work as Chriss's documentation describes. If you do not follow this advice, you will be sadly mistaken, when you install the new versions of Skype, and things do not work at all as expected. Those two fine folks are working towards a resolution with the new Skype versions but --- wait until they are finished. Anyone wishing to go directly to Chriss's JFW Skype scripts page, please go to: http://www.panix.com/~ccn/projects/jfw/skype.php?JFWVersion=600410&ScriptVersion=200&SkypeProgramDate=20041123&WindowsOSVersion=3&SkypeUserName=rcusson&MenuBackgroundColor=010036106 Roger R. Recording time on the Edirol R-1!
Actually the recording time on the Edirol R-1 is 2.5 hours with it's two AA batteries. The playback time is 6 hours. Now someone asked how much recording time the Compact Flash card would allow. With the included 64 MB card at CD quality or 44,100 Hurtz and 16 bit stereo you would get 6 minutes and 20 seconds. With a 2 GB card at CD quality you would get 3 hours, 22 minutes and 54 seconds. Compact Flash is expensive: 1 GB $110, 2 GB $220, 4 GB $350. I wish the R-1 had some sort of loud speaker but I can cope with headphones. My Sony MZB100 has a built-in speaker but most of the time the environment I'm working in is so noisy that it may as well not be there. I do not own an R-1 nor have I ever seen one but I will probably end up with one in a few months. The fact that it shows up on your computer as another drive makes it very valuable.
