Hello All, I think the problem I have is to do with Roxio, I am trying to
burn a CD using Roxio, Every time I try to do this I get the following
message, F, isn't accessible incorrect function. Why is this? I have
uninstalled the drivers and it is still coming up why? I hope someone can

Re: Tips on Soundforge8

2005-03-27 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Hi:

Sorry about the last post: it was a typo.

So, press I to begin the selection: press O to end the selection: press the
appropriate action key for the selection that you've marked.

Incidentally, the key mapping function in Sound Forge 8.0 does allow you to
assign the left and right brackets for beginning and end of selection if you
wish.

Hope this helps.

You most certainly can! With the help of a good friend I was able to get
it
to work with the oddcast plug in and the Shoutcast server. I also got
content from his server which from memory I think he was using Icecast to
serve up the stream.

Cheers.

Hi List,
If anyone can give me any information on how one might go about
broadcasting
with Foobar 2000, that would be much appreciated. Foobar 2000 is an
alternative media player and is free. Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have any tips on accessing Power DVD's settings? I can use the mouse
pointer to click on the various sections of settings, Audio...Video, but I
can't see any settings after clicking.

hi,
i have once used river past for that but i lost a big part of the quality.
best result so far is converting them with winamp to a wav file, with the disc

2005-03-27 Thread Anders Holmberg
HellO!
Excuse me for asking this questin but as i thought i understood the whole thing
was that soundforge 8.0 had a built in noise reduction filter.
But maybe i was wrong.
I know that there is a noise reduction plugin you can get.
But i thought that there was a built-in one also.
Can you download a trial of this noisereduction plugin?

a somewhat techie question about the LAME encoder and Total Recorder

2005-03-27 Thread Larry Higgins
Hi listers,
Hopefully there is a solution to this rather annoying problem when
recording with the LAME encoder. When playing back a program I recorded
from XM Radio last night, I noticed a problem that occurs with some MP3s
where instruments or vocals will shift from either the left or right
channels almost to the middle channel, so to speak, when there is silence
in the opposite channel from the solo instrument or vocal. This happens
also in other combinations, but the point is, that it shouldn't. This
effect is most noticeable when listening through headphones.

I can't seem to find any way to work on more advanced LAME settings within
Total Recorder like one can using CDEX. Does any one have any ideas as to
how to best go about tinkering with this thing, so hopefully I can stop
this behavior?

Thanks very much in advance,
Larry

I wonder if it's the version of the lame encoder being used? I did hear

updatiing your lame dll file and see if that helps any, i hope. that
problem can be extremely annoying!!!
