Re: Another SoundForge 8 question.

2005-04-09 Thread Marijan Janev
Hi Jerry,
But the question is still is it possible to use another mp3 codec (mp3pro
for example) in sound forge 7 and 8?
I've asked several friends of mine but they don't know how to do that. Is
there a way to tell Sound Forge which codec you want to use?
Thanks very much!
Sincerely,
Marijan

Jim! From the "Save As" dialogue choose MP3 as the file type and click
the button labeled "Custom". Now be sure the combo box labeled "Template"
is on "Default Template". Now tab over to the combo box labeled "Bit Rates"
and you should be able to go up to 320 KBPS.

hi tim, i've discovered my problem. launching realplayer is causing my
system to restart more often than not. i can get into the context menu on
the mlb.tv media player giving the option to use realplayer now but then
my
system restarts. i've tried using rel player independently and the same
happens. so it's a real player glitch i'm having not a mlb one. i've
removed
it from my system and will try a new download and installation. if that
doesn't work, not sure what next as i obviously need real player installed
to use mlb in the way we've been discussing.

Try this. After you hear that the audio has started try hitting the tab
key
until you find a button. I don't know what jfw says when it hits a
button,
but you probably will know. Then, however you do it in jfw, route your
mouse to the pc cursor and right click and arrow down.

Audio problems

2005-04-09 Thread Mark Matthews
Hi List, as you probably can tell I'm a newby here.

Using JFW 6, XP SP 2, and onboard sound card. Recently I've not been able to
obtain any input from my mic. However my screen-reader is heard - together
with me typing apparently. I can varify the former from doing tests in Sound
Recorder. I'm sure I've seen a solution to this kind of scenario before, but
can't for the life of me remember what it was!

My Mic volume is set to 90 %, and the 20 DB boost, and mute checkboxes are
checked and unchecked respectively. Also the mic is inserted properly into
the appropriate socket. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Gang:

When I use automatic threshold recording mode, I am only able to record 29
seconds of audio. I have two hours left on the drive. The program simply
stops recording.

I can't seem to find anything in the recording window that will allow me to
specify unlimited time. Can anyone explain why I am limited to 29 seconds
and how I can resolve this issue?

Thanks all over the place gang.

I'm not using the lame encoder. I want to use the Fraunhaffer

but it's not a solution to my problem.

Neither is using Goldwave, as another member suggested I do.
