Opening an mp3 file in Sound Forge 8

2005-05-16 Thread Robert Carter
Hi All,
I am attempting to open a podcast called the daily source code in Sound
forge 8. This is a standard mp3 file. Sound Forge will play about 2 seconds
of the file and then just stops. I can open other mp3 files just fine. Does
anybody have any idea what might be keeping Sound Forge from opening this file?

Thanks,
Robert Carter

CFTR 680 news Toronto

2005-05-16 Thread Mike Pietruk
Over the weekend, several list members reported that they were unable to
get the audio link for CFTR to play.
Well, Monday, the beginning of the work week, has this link repaired and
working again.
Those of you who had given up on CFTR should try it again.

As a matter of course, I have found on various occasions that broken audio
links over the weekend don't get attended to until someone shows up on
Monday.

hi Louie,
Try audio converter 5.1 You can use it as freeware but it is limited
inits scope. If you get the licensed copy you will be able to convert
most anything you want.

Re: joining several mp3s in to 1 file??

2005-05-16 Thread Kevin Lloyd
Merging tracks when ripping with CDEX

1.. Start CDEX and load the audio CD.
2.. Press tab until you reach the list of tracks.
3.. Use the down arrow key until you reach the tracks you wish to merge
together.
4.. Use shift + down arrow to select the tracks to be merged.
5.. Press function key F10 to open the "select a section of the CD to
extract" dialogue
6.. Enter the file name for the resulting merged file in the edit field
provided.
7.. Press tab repeatedly until you reach the ok button and press enter to
start the rip.

Re: users of Ipodder

2005-05-16 Thread Steve Matzura
You say you worked a couple of items with success, which to me implies
you were able to start the program at one time. This is unclear.

The other thing I can tell you is that IPodder is only for XP or
Windows 2000. If you are not running either of these o/s's, that
could be your major problem right there.
